Anime Saimoe Tournament 2011

Everything you could possibly want to know about Saimoe is here.

It's Summer Comiket, which means that the brackets for the Anime Saimoe Tournament (not to be confused with International Saimoe League or Korea Best Moe or the now defunct SaiGar) finals have been drawn.

Eligible characters must be female and have appeared in an animated work released from July 1, 2010 to June 30, 2011.

You might be able to vote. I've tried, but I think my ISP was banned for being foreign. It's complicated too, since you need to hunt down 2ch threads and get voting codes and such.

Matches for the finals start on the 16th and should update daily around midnight JST.

I have no idea whether anyone cares in the slightest about this, but just in case, here are my picks anyway.

I participated last year- I didn't need to get voting codes. Did they change things? >.>" Because I was able to just point-and-click my choices between the pairs.

You're thinking of the International Saimoe League, which runs under different rules. The Anime Saimoe Tournament is the original 2ch tournament, where they have all of these measures to combat voting fraud, because moe is serious business. Consequently, this also makes it super hard for anyone outside of Japan to vote.

Ah, thanks for the clarification!

I thought they were specifically trying to keep foreigners from voting.
