ANN wrote:The razor company Schick Japan is collaborating with the One Piece pirate anime series on a promotional campaign in stores throughout Japan from June 1 to September 30. The campaign takes advantage of One Piece's popularity among males in their teens and twenties.

The campaign supports the brand's current "Free Your Skin" slogan for a stress-free, liberating shaving experience. Among other items, cans of Schick Shave Guard Fresh Lime Medicated Shaving Foam will sport four kinds of One Piece artwork. A limited number of Schick razor holders will come with One Piece original holder stands, while replacement blades and Shave Guard cans will include mobile accessory straps. All participants in the campaign's mobile phone game can receive a One Piece mobile standby screen image, and the game's prizes include 900 One Piece towels in 9 styles and 1,000 One Piece Hawaiian shirts.

Just when you think you've seen it all...

This is a pretty interesting campaign, but am I the only one who thinks that having an anime character with a scar on his cheek MAY NOT be the best thing to put on a SHAVING product?

I believe Schick was far more successful in America when it had the commercial of the one dude making out with two chicks because he shaved with Schick(lol commercials).

 sorry Tsuki. I was only joking. Thought you'd know I was messing around...yeah, she's actually a girl (as far as I know). She's just super-annoying and has rather manly brows.

She's not a trap, Lucky. I don't know, maybe Doc there thinks if a woman is assertive and independent she must be a dude in disguise or something, which is like 1800s thinking, but whatever. Dorothy is definitely a girl, so don't feel bad. :p

Exactly! Isn't that true? Everybody knows it. (joke, joke, joke-ity joke!)

Nate: a man obsessed with the 19th century (teeheehee, lol, hahaha and other requisite joke-indicators).

Having a One Piece shaving campaign when all the best characters have beards and chin stubble, there are so many things wrong with this.
