I saw the collection in a box set of 22 or 26 shows of an avaitor and his adventures. It looked great. It retailed around 39.00. I can't recall the name but somebody next to me in the aisle said, "Oh I love that! It's a fun show" .

Has anyone seen it? The cover is brown, antique style with zeplins, planes, an open cockpit and the pilot and his girlfriend there.

Uh, sounds like Last Exile. If that's the case, I highly recommend picking it up. It's awesome!

Yes, Last Exile is probably the top notch of "aviation" anime out there, though I can't tell for certain it's the one you saw, but seeing how you favor that theme, you'll surely like it. Since you already saw Porco Rosso, the other ones I could recommend by that theme are Area 88 and the great classic, Macross.

Here you can find a more or less comprensive list of all the titles on that category, though I cannot say my opinion on the ones I didn't already mentioned, as I haven't seen them. (Regrettably, I'm not such a fan of the theme as I asume you are): http://www.anime-planet.com/tags/Aviation/anime

That would Sky Crawlers and Porco Rosso as the top notch of aviation anime, then Allison and Lillia, Last Exile and Macross Zero/Macross Plus/Macross/Macross F.
