CAA: Christian Anime Alliance

That's right, more Higurashi for the teenage murder fanatic in you! Not a whole lot of details on it as of yet, except for the pic and the little blurb at the end of the wikipedia article. An interesting note is the absence of K1 in the pic. Could be that they just wanna use anime girls to promote it, though. Also note that the wiki article will contain spoilers blah blah blah so don't look at it if you've not watched the series yet.

But anyway, am I the only one excited? Despite the fact that I can't really think of any more story-related content they could really add to the main story seeing as how HiguKai pretty much wrapped everything up, I'm still curious to see what they could be adding, even if it's just an OVA. All in all, I'm just hoping it won't end up being more filler with little or no point, such as the Cat-killing chapter.

EDIT: Still digging; seems like the new OVA will be five episodes based on extra arcs and video game arcs. In specific, we'll be getting Hajisarashi-hen, an arc from one of the light novels; Saikoroshi-hen, which is based off of a fandisc-only arc; and Hirukowashi-hen, which is based on Higurashi Daybreak. First ep is supposed to be for Hajisarashi-hen, second through fourth for Saikoroshi-hen, and the fifth will be Hirukowashi-hen.

For those who wish to bypass all the waiting, all three of these chapters have short synopses on the wikipedia article I linked to earlier. No, I can't confirm that these are the three that will be compiled into the new OVA, but at the same time I don't really see any reason to doubt them.

I must say, I'm quite excited too. I'm not done with Kai, but I probably will be by the time this rolls around.
