How do you track the anime you have seen?

Some use spreadsheets, some excel, and most use MAL. My question is this: How do you (or waht do you) use to track the anime that you have seen?

Just with my brain. |D
I've been curious: people have been using websites and other methods to keep track of the series they've seen, but what's the worth in that?

I have a Word file list going, but I can remember which ones I've seen and which I haven't for the most part.

I use my brain. It's pretty good at keeping track of anime.

I use my brain and then put it on my MAL.

My brain keeps forgetting some titles that I have seen and have to go and look up them. I'm still trying to remember all that I have seen.

IMO, I think they are, since MAL doesn't cost anything and it has a very good database.

I can look on anidb to see what shows I've rated, but I mostly just use my own brain. Sometimes, though, I use Mechana2015's brain instead.

I go from memory sometimes, but I also maintain a MAL.

I can go by memory lots of the time but I also have a word document and save episodes onto my list of favorites on youtube.

Becuase the joke dead right now, I'm not going to kick the dead horse and use the "my brain" reply.
When it comes to my DVD's, I use a spreadsheet to keep an inventory. It took a while to log 'em in at first, but as long as I stay on top of it, I shouldn't have a problem.
When it comes to anime that I've actually watched, I use MAL too.

How do I track it? I just look at my video collection. I generally buy anime when I watch because of lack of other ways to view it. Video stores don't carry them, I don't have cable so don't get stuff like adult swim etc, and Online rentals take FOREVER. I had End of Evangelion at the top of my que for about 6 months before it was finally available and I was able to see it.
So I just buy whatevever looks good and I'll just buy the thin pack sets from some Amazon merchant unless they're having a sale on Rightstuf or animenation. So basically the only thing I don't own and have seen is End of Eva and thats only cause it costs like 80bucks brand new from people who like to jack up the prices.

I believe I've written down all the animes I've watched at one point, but that was merely so I wouldn't repeat ones I'd already listed when I was trying to think of all the animes I'd seen XD; I just remember which animes I've seen. Seeing as how I haven't seen as many as I"d like to, its not hard for me. My 'seen anime list' is rather small (especially compared to some of my fellow CAA members). My 'want to see' anime list is quite large though, and growing. I just don't have enough time (or money) to watch them all (or buy them to watch XD)

I use MAL. It is a handy service. It gives you interesting statistics like the mean and deviation of your scores, and allows you to compare your scores with other people. And it exports your list to XML, which is better and more accessible than keeping it in an Excel sheet or Word document.

Hey, why don't some of you guys post your MALs so I can add you to my list? XD

At least I think that's how it's done.... I got this less than 24 hours ago so I don't know how
everything works just yet. XD

I use MAL as well, although I think my list is significantly shorter than most. XD; I need to see more anime and read more manga.

I have MAL, but I don't really maintain it and I only use it on the rare occasions that I need to list all the anime I've seen or something like that.
Other than that I always have the "dead horse" that's so popular here.

Ooooooooo I like this list program. I'll post a link here when I get it finished. Errrr....I guess this is how I keep track of what I've seen, haha.

I'm yet another who just uses his brain. I own most of the anime I've seen(not that much, bah) and the rest I can just remember.

There are two pretty good reasons to keep a list. The first is if you want to keep track of what you've watched and you've watched a ridiculous number of series or you plan to in the future. I include that if you plan to do this, because if you don't keep track now and decide to later, it'll be a huge amount of work.
The second reason is if you're following multiple series, like if you follow series that are airing in Japan right now. I fall into this category; I'm following about six different shows that are airing right now and all of them are at different points in the series. It's also good for keeping track of what you might want to pick up in the next season as well.

I enjoy making lists and keep several of them, including MAL, though I widely ignore most of the community there out of habit.

I have a MAL, but since I try not to watch more than 2-3 series at a time I generally use my brain more. MAL is helpful, though, for making a list of series I want to watch in the future so I won't forget.
And I also have a document on Google Docs to keep track of what episode I'm at in the series I'm watching, or what chapter I'm at in the series I'm reading. XDD
