Cardcaptor Sakura VS. Fruits Basket

It seems as though both these series at one time or another dominated the shojo market. In the early blossoming millenium, CCS reigned whereas now it seems Fruits Basket calls the shots. I would like to know from people which one people personally favor more and why. For me, it's Fruits Basket. The show is the first to elicit a 'laugh out loud' response from me. It also made me cry one episode.
Yes I am mature enough in my masculinity to admit that.

Fruits Basket, FTW. The manga is awesome! And the anime isn't half bad either! I love the Chinese Zodiac theme and also the relationship between Tohru and Yuki & Kyo. And the team of Shigure and Ayame is so hilarious!

I've recently (on Saturday) just picked back up on watching "Fruits Basket". I'm so loving it <33
CCS was cool too, but they never continued it on CN, did they?

As of now, I would say CCS because the designs were so pretty. All the cards were so aesthetically designed. And Sakura's outfits... :3
Plot doesn't really matter to me concerning the two though. ;;;

I love Cardcaptor Sakura<3 I haven't seen Fruits Basket,but I am getting ready to see it soon :3

I like Cardcaptor Sakura (for awhile the dub was the only shojo that I liked, but now I don't care for the dub so much and I watch the sub now) but I've never watched a full episode of Fruits Basket so it's not like I can tell.
Well, it was the only one that was OBVIOUSLY shojo.... I heard D.N.Angel is shojo too but it has more of a shonen feel to me so I kind of consider it more of a shonen.... BUT that's another topic entirely... Back to CCS vs. FB.
For now, like I said, CCS, but I really wouldn't know until/if I decide to watch FB.

Definitely would have to say Fruits Basket. I used to love CCS when I was little, though... ^_^ I watched the dub all the time. Now I've read some of the manga... still got a soft spot for it, but Furuba remains my favorite shoujo series.

The story is interesting and the interweaving relationships are so emotionally engaging.
BUT~~!~
I think I have to throw my support in the CCS ring.
Natsukashii yo! It's so nostalgic for me. Plus, we have a wonderful Kero-chan (which I always wanted for myself!) We have a fantastic onii-chan (squeee) in Touya and of course, the absolute necessity for a true shoujo, the completely omg omg omg moments with Yue~~!~ <3 hehe (shoujo, it's okay to fangirl for shoujo)
Hmm... for some reason I tend to run with seniority when it comes to anime and manga for me. haha Don't know why this is. BUt CCS was first for me so therefore I think my soft spot for it overpowers FruBa.
