Biggest *forehead smack* moments

Hey, all. The question is, what moment in an anime you have seen made you smack your forehead and go "Oh my (insert anything here)!"? These are typically extremely silly moments, though extremely unexpected and/or frightening moments could cause this reaction as well.

For me, I just had one. Watching Histories Greatest Disciple Kenichi, episode 17. Some new guys show up to challenge the dojo. They show up to fight against the Karate master there, Sakaki, who is out at that point. When he shows up, one of the minions there says "Power level over 9000!" When I saw that, if I had been drinking, I would have done a spit take!

I have several:

Chrono Crusade - There's a scene when Rosette, Chrono, Azmaria, and Satella are eating hot dogs. Suddenly, Rosette is hit with a ball. Azmaria cries out "Goodness Gracious!" Chrono adds "Great ball of fire!!" (Insert Rimshot here)

Ghost Stories - The entire anime is a ::Forehead smack:: moment, because it wsas ad-lib dubbed by ADV, but this one is hillarious (and the only one I DARE mention on this forum) There's a scene when the entire group is riding on the train on the way to a ski resort. Satsuki mentions her hot ski outfit. Hajime chimes in "You're as fat as Queen Latifa; one time rap star needs to quit doing those Pizza Hut ads."

Eureka Seven - In the last couple of episodes, theres a scene when Eureka sprouts these funky green wings out her back. The firs thing Renton asks when he sees them is "Ummm...can I feel 'em?" He then proceeds to get his cop on (the wings), then makes the comment "So warm..." I'll leave it at that...

Eureka Seven - The last episode, as originally aired by Adult Swim. Due to a "logging" error, the prologue and epilogue were cut, and replaced with the opening/closing end themes. The reaction was like dropping a match in gasoline. Kaboom. It was aired, correctly, that next Saturday. Peace was restored.

Death Note - L's big reveal. The first thing that ran through my mind was "He looks just like I imagined some CAA Members look like IRL!"

Gouzou Maguruma "Mr. Unstoppable/No Breaks" from GetBackers. His special technique is he drives really fast. Without breaking. Well, whoopity-frickin-doo pal.

For similar results, the stand Wheel of Fortune from JoJo. That's nothing guys, I can control cars.

Anytime Ed from FMA reacts (or over reacts) to someone noticing his shortness or whenever someone thinks his brother in armor suit is the real full metal alchemist.....

That scene in Bamboo Blade (to quote Aleolus: "The teacher and only remaining member of the kendo club are walking by, when all of the sudden a cry goes out; "Look out! It's a baseball from the baseball club!" "A football from the rugby club!" "A tennis ball from the tennis club!" "The principal is falling from the third floor!" And of course, all converging on these two. We see a broom get grabbed, someone runs up and knocks the three balls away with the stick end, then uses the bristle end to knock the Principal back up into his office !") was pretty darn sweet.

Also, this isn't anime, but in the Koukou Debut manga, my absolute favorite headdesk scenes: Haruna, the main character girl, gets accidentally kissed by a guy she doesn't like, and she stresses out about it to her boyfriend Yoh. She gets freakishly depressed through the whole chapter and tries to disinfect her lips with bug spray and boiling water >D Yoh tries to tell her it's no big deal, but she's like "But when we kiss, won't you think of it as an indirect kiss?!" and he hesitates, and she goes hysterical >D Later, when everything's been blown way out of proportion, Yoh keeps insisting that he doesn't mind, and finally desperately shows how much he loves his girl by saying "Then, it's OK if we each take half, right?" and GRABBING the guy that kissed Haruna and planting a big one on him (and then he feels like disinfecting too). It was hysterrrrrical... I think you have to see it for the full effect.

...or even better--when that girl called Al a Trash Can. That was priceless.

Osaka, Tomo, or Yukari from Azumanga Daioh doing pretty much anything merits a good smack of the forehead in my opinion.

Also, during a scene in Naruto where he and Sasuke are fighting, Sasuke says,
"Naruto, you are special, but. . . . . . .I AM MORE SPECIAL THAN YOU!"

 Luckily he didn't really stick around for long? (unless I missed something in the manga)

Yeah, I have quite a few, I don't really keep a record

one I remember was during Elfen Lied, Episode 2, when he tries to change her clothes, with his eyes closed. :forehead:

Anything about Emergy Maxfell in s-CRY-ed. That guy was so pathetic...

(SMJ) Lime's misunderstandings about everyday things, and when she finally understands them, she like, wears it out.

The entire Episode 37 from Full Metal Alchemist. Those who have seen it need nothing more to be said, and my retelling of it would ruin it for anyone who hasn't.

Yes, yes he is.

From Naruto, I think my biggest head-desk moment was the first time Kakashi-sensei used 1000 Years of Death. My expression mirrored Sakura's, more or less.

Avatar: The Last Airbender...After a firebender attacks Aang and friends, Sakha tries to figure out a name for him. "Sparky-sparky-boom-man!" And a little later, "Combustion man!"

I also thought of another one, but I don't remember it now...I'll get back to you guys if I remember.

That one is a good one --one of my favorites just for the silliness of it all...

Case Closed: (used to be in my sig)

Detective McGuire: "Have you determined the cause of death?"
(There's a body on the floor with a knife in his back --clearly visible.)
Other detective: "We're pretty sure it's the knife in the back, sir."

These are all VERY different in nature, but they all resulted in me going "WHA?" in their own way.

Pokemon: The first time James wore a dress. That took away something I'm NEVER going to get back.

Eureka 7: The last episode on Adult Swim. Socks has summed it up very well, but there's no way I could list my own moments without mentioning it.

Venus Wars: There's a point in this movie where a character is retroactively introduced. That is, he shows up in one scene, and then there's a minute long montage of clips to explain just who the heck he actually is. Then, five minutes later, he dies! I'm STILL scratching my head over that one.

Digimon: One episode in the first season has a hitchhiking sequence that was very strangely edited for American audiences. I've seen far weirder examples of this sort of thing since then, but to my inexperiences mind it was both very obvious and very confusing.

Mon Colle Knights: That whole show was a head slapping moment, man. Seriously.

Death Note: "I'll take a chip... AND EAT IT." XD

(I apologize in advance to any L'Arc~en~Ciel fans.)

The opening song of the Rurouni Kenshin movie. My brother and I were watching it, and when the music started up we sort of looked at each other and said, ":wow!: Is that supposed to be music?!"

I've got a few, but lets go with this one ^ ^

It was one of the episodes of the Fushigi Yugi OVAs. When they were all on the train. Tamahome.. I mean Taka was jumping up and down on the seat. Going,"Wow.. we're moving so fast 8D"

Everyone had sweat marks on their faces ^ ^.

Since this thread was made, I've been trying to think of something. It seemed impossible there wouldn't be such a moment, but nothing was coming to mind. Given that I'm posting, something did. In recent reading, I encountered several such moments:

Every time the protagonist of Dragon Drive saves the day. It's the most obvious, most boring way to resolve conflicts, yet it happens every time. I guess I've been spoiled by less mainstream shonen and seinen.

Ooh, I have another one \o.o/

In the anime that I've been watching. One of the main characters was asked to help catch a con artist. She went along with it and all, and everything went well. Until her friends came into the picture. They were following her and this guy for a while, but when they heard he was just using her. They couldn't just stand there. They then storm into the resturaunt (that don't look right >_>) they were eating at and started yelling and creaming and arguing (typical scene in anime),"He's just using you for your money.. !!" She stands up and walks towards them. She winks at them to signal that she knew and all that, but they just kinda went on ranting. Even she slapped her forehead ^ ^

*is in a talkative mood*

Eiken was pretty much one of these moments after another for me, as well. :forehead:

Death Note: "I'll take a chip... AND EAT IT." XD

OH LAFF yes. I still crack up at this part. (seriously wants to see a Light Cosplay carrying around a bag of chips XD)

I think any time I hear Inuyasha and Kogome cry out each other's names...wow.. I must have a serious goosegg.. Why aren't I in the hospital with a concussion yet?

Any Perverted guy character in an anime.
Any awkward moment and I am watching anime with my dad... >_>

Every five minutes in Bobobo-bobo-bobo.

I mean, cross-dressing happens so much it becomes NORMAL.

And that's just the start. I could write a few pages of all the moments.

hm I think probably...in Ai Yori Aoshi there's a bit of that. Like, the heart breaking NOOOOO OM-----whatever ------ what just happened!!!?
There's another one too. I think it's called...Sasuke. Or something, about this girl who does high jump.
If we're talking impressed, I'd have to say Hellsing. I was always like WHAAAAAT that was awesome!

Well, the whole Fighting Foodons show is pretty much head--desk moments.

INVADER ZIM.
GIR: I got me some chocolate bubblegum!
GIR: You gonna make biscuits? You gonna make biiiiscuits? YOU goonnna make BISCUITS?

GIR: I made some mashed po-ta-toes!
ZIM: Yes, and muffins, too...

(I consider it an anime, because of the art style. Not really sure if it is, but I do.)

Invader Zim isn't an anime, but I think its downright close just because of the sheer creppyness of the show. I mean I was like 10 when this was on and creeped me out, yet I couldn't look away. Gir was always random, and cute. Zim is just one of those "Think he can do it himself, but can't" aliens. I just wonder why Nickelodeon didn't keep it? Maybe because it gave children nightmares or something, but not me!

Yeah, pretty much every moment of Bobobo-bobo-bobo was a head-desk moment. Cross-dressing, odd interjections of Bobobo theatre, Rock paper sissors interludes, Beauty's "What?!!!" moments every other seconds and many crazy moments by Don Patch, Bobobo, Jelli-Jigler, Beauty, Soften, the little white guy(Sorry I can't remember his name.), and torpedo girl.

Ooh yeah, when the main male character goofs up and gets beat up for it.. those are always funny \o.o/
