And check out his feedback. 100% over 1100+ sales, but all of the items are 'private'. Riiiiiiight.

Anyone know what's going on here?

maybe the guy's just really tired of DBZ and decided to try his luck w/ Ebay. plus, the auction's still got 3 more days...

It says "reserve not met." I bet a lot of people were just trying to buy it for 20 bucks or under while he's probably only going to sell it for 50 bucks or higher.

contact me and leave me your email address to get a FREE EXCLUSIVE on how you can get all of the series, Dragonball, Dragonball Z, and Dragonball GT, at a RIDICULOUSLY low price. It worked for me and it can work for you too!!!

Hmmm yeah I can think of a few... :/

Oh and about the 100% feedback thing, I bought off someone who had something like %99.9 with only 3 out of hundreds of comments, and know what? He was TOTALLY counterfit! Should've realized it earlier but they were so good that they fooled everyone, but a couple (I realized it once I saw the packaging of the game, noticed the instruction booklet was like 3 pages long, and so forth). The ticket to knowing if it's counterfeit is seeing the EXACT same item on for a good price show up several times. The seller I bought from often had rare games pop up all the time and at a fairly good price too :/

Undoubtly, well, I don't even think JAPAN has a massive boxset like that :/

EDIT: LOL seen his other items up for sell? WoW gold strategies... how to make money off eBay fast... oh the irony...
I mean, check THIS out... Wow...

The box is a custom made anodized aluminum box done by Paul Champagne.

He has been making custom made aluminum box cases for anime series, live action movie and TV seires for years.

The bad thing about them is, just about most of them are unofficial boxes and Bandai Entertainment ask him to stop making the Cowboy Bebop box case.

However, He did get to make an official release box cases for ADV flims of EVA, Gasaraki and BGC 2040.

This means that the box case, it wouldn't have the dvds in it, if you bought the box from Paul Champagne.

Now, this set could have the dvds in it, but you only see a picture of the box. If they do have the dvds in them, they could be bootlegs.

There is one thing in the description text that should make a person worried.

While I'm at it, contact me and leave me your email address to get a FREE EXCLUSIVE on how you can get all of the series, Dragonball, Dragonball Z, and Dragonball GT, at a RIDICULOUSLY low price. It worked for me and it can work for you too!!!

Just for the heck of it I emailed him about getting all the series at a 'ridiculously' low price, and it was just downloaded *.rm files on DVD-Rs.

Oh yeah, I bought something off of ebay that was probbly bootleg. Im not sure if this is what you could classify it as but here goes...

I bought the whole cartoon of Courage the Cowardly Dog because my sister and I really liked the show. But at the time it didn't show up on CN anymore. So like any people who really want to watch a show or something like that will turn to box sets. But of course they weren't made yet, so we turned to Ebay. And we did find the whole show on dvds. And the episodes were good too, same as they were when they were on CN. But one problem, I still saw the CN logo during each episode at the bottom right part of the screen. And they also packaged 4 dvds in each dvd case. So what Im thinking is they taped it onto dvd from either tv or online. So what do you guys think about this?

Seeing as how there are no official DVDs of that series...

Sooner or later though they will probably get around to doing the DVDs.

Positive feedback isn't really a good indicator on the authenticity of a product, because, so long as the subs are decent and the packaging and discs look pretty cool, most people are pretty glad to get the product for the price. They don't care whose pocket the money is going into.

That's what I tought. Paul Champagne's custom made boxe cases sell around $25 to $35 alone.

You add the price for the box and then what the guy paid for all of the R1 or R2 dvd volumes and movies and we are talking about alot of money that the guy has in this set.

For the starting bid to be that low, then it tells you that the dvd's are nothing more then *.rm files on DVD-Rs.

The bid is now up to $52 and that's more the box case cost, so this is a total rip off.

Heh .rm... do people still USE that format anymore? (and last I remember using it, the quality was AWFUL....)

The bidding got up to $57, someone is going to be REALLY dissapointed. I know I was when I thought I was buying the Cowboy Bebop Complete Collection set, and wound up with, in effect, the original release DVD's condenced on 4 disks.

I don't know if anyone noticed it, but the only picture of the boxes are smaller than the avatar's on the forum.

Yeah....

Reminds me of the time I bought a Hikaru no Go "Movie", but upon further inspection of my friends, it was just a regular bootlegged dvd (number five, iirc) with a Japanese lady at the beginning and end of the movie saying some things, and the themes cut off from the episodes, save the opening on the first and the ending on the last. Piece of junk thing, I haven't watched it since I learned it was a bootleg (they even placed a real-looking sticker on the cd to make it look authentic!) Hey, the box it came in is pretty, so I just use it as decoration.

Never buy dvds from ebay, guys, chances are, it's bootlegged.

Well Okami-chan, I wouldn't go that far...I bought the entire 4 disk "Pilot Candidate" DVD's and they were all legitimate. Plus I got the original "Barefoot Gen" (Movie about the bombing of Hiroshima) and "Metropolis" from ebay, and both were legal! The lesson here is just investigate before you invest! Look at the pictures, check out the other buyers, ask questions, and if it looks too good to be true, it probably is!

The trap people fall into is assuming used DVDs on Amazon, Half, etcetera, are legit. It's even worse there because there are no actual pictures of the item you're buying - everything is lumped under one stock photo.

*.RM is bad? I wasn't aware of that.

i sorta know how you guys feel. i bought the FMA movie off the net, but when it arrived i found out that it was in Japanese w/ SPANISH subtitles...

Yes, .rm is bad. There were about three people in the world who could encode anime decently to .rm. They've all moved on to better codecs.

The thing is, as the codecs became somewhat less evil, the player became significantly more evil. Don't support evil - avoid .rm files. If you absolutely must use such files, use the real alternative codec.

Ummm...I'm seriously considering saying something, guys--the bidding is up to $222.50 and it ends in 19 hrs! These people are seriously bidding on this, not knowing if it's bootlegged or not!

No offense, but you have no idea if they know it's bootleg. Odds are they DO and simply don't care since it's comparatively cheap to buying the whole thing in separate VHS/DVD packages.

It takes a lot more than that to offend me, and trust me I've been offended before!

::Tackles and glomps Godly Paladin::

Anyway, you're right. I don't know if they're bootlegged or not...but it is quite suspicious...

LOL, it's been forever since I was glomped.

Anyhoo, it is, of course, bootleg since there's never been English DVD releases for the whole shebang, but it's just the most outrageous scope/price of any bootleg I've seen.

$280 and still reserve not yet met!

Update! The auction has ended, and while the reserve hasn't been met, the winning bid was $305...

One wonders what the reserve was?

Hmm..... Something seems VERY suspicious if you look at everyone who bid! The bidders are all simply called "bidder" with a 1, 2, or 3 at the end of their name. ("bidder 4 cancelled their bid) Looks to me like the guy who is selling this crap is making multiple accounts, and then bidding on his own auctions so he can give himself feedback.
