Sorry, but this trailer is a fake and even the user says that this trailer is fan made.

It's been posted around the net for a year now.

Also, EVA live action movie is not going to make the light of day.

Also, there is a thread taking about the live action movie and pov and counter pov on why this movie will not be made.

EVA live action thread

I heard they were officially working on the script though... In fact, the unofficial site posted an interview that says it's still in the works, not completely greenlighted, but hoping to be out in about 2 years... More waiting... Feels like Advent Children all over again :/

When did Agent Smith grow such a fine quality beard?

Wow... that trailer is amazingly fake, and rather humerous to boot. I like where they painted on gendo's beard. And the fact that they switch off between Jude Law and Elija Wood for what seems to be the same charachter.

I'm sorry, but I will not buy into a web site that is not an official web site. If they were working on a script, why hasn't ANN or any other anime news site reported it?

There is still two problems with this.

A. ADV is still backer for the film and in 2006, they did say they had 50% of the money for this project in 2005. But I wondering if they took that 50% of the money and started to buying up the anime that we see coming out now. They are doing well now, but I think they know this could be very risky for them, if they don't make any money off this.

Do we want ADV to fail by making this movie, like Square did with Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within. That movie had alot of groups that help with the money for it and look what happen to Square. If ADV and being the only one putting money up for this movie and it fails, you can say good bye to ADV films.

B. Weta workshop web site has no new info about the movie. When you go to their web site, it shows the EVA movie as a featured projects, but if you click on it, it takes you to past work page.

Right now, Weta is working on three projects, Paddy The Wanderer, Avatar and The Dam Busters, which is Peter Jackson's next movie.

Since Fox had the rights to make a DBZ live action movie and that never happen. I just feel that EVA has even less hope of being made then a DBZ movie.

I don't know if it will be made or not, but I sure do hope it won't be.

Last time I checked, Hideaki Anno wasn't Japanese for Matt Greenfield.
Live Action Evangelion wrote:This is a site about the live action movie of Neon Genesis Evangelion. Dedicated to everything new on this upcoming project. We support the project, providing it doesn't turn into one long CGI Hollywood Action-fest, which would quite obviously ruin the beauty of the NGE series - "taint" is the word. However ignoring that fact, if this movie can build on the genius that is Evangelion, the movie shall be a supreme one, most certainly worth watching. -- FofR, Trivialbeing Webmaster.

You know what would truly taint the EVA series? Funding a film that doesn't need to be made.

HAHAHA. Oh my gosh.

Well, at first, I was going to say, "Hey, even though it's fake, it's not a bad editing job." Then I saw the beard. And the terrible CG. Also, the scenes of Sin from Final Fantasy X. And my favorite? "IN THE NEAR FUTURE...A BOY HAS TO DECIDED..."

I lost it. XDD

You know, I think the errors in that paragraph are almost as funny as the trailer itself. XD

I was fooled too--it was WAY too good...save for the painted-on Gendo beard!

Don't forgot these two things.

There is two things right off the bat gives this trailer away.

One of them would be pick by people that have seen the series or read up on it. So its a giving, that most people would pick up on it right away.

In the trailer, When it says Year 2015 d.c. Yes, it in lowcase and most write ups about the series, say 2015 and some say 2015 A.C. I know they could change the story timeline and all that, but d.c.?

Another give away at the start of the trailer is, clips of Elijah Wood. He was very young in those clips and all of The Lord of the Rings fans know that he alot older in the LotR movies.

Well last I heard many anime companies were waiting on the reciepts for Transformers to come in before they start testing the waters themselves with live action stuff.

Last I heard from Anime News Network
