Do any of you know anything about a series called Puni Puni Poemy? I've come across clips and promos for it here and there, and I looked it up online and found out it's a spinoff of Excel Saga, but aside from that, I don't know much. I only have one question about the characters, though. What is with the blue-haired girl? About 4 of the 5 clips I've seen with her in them, she's playing with her breasts in some way!

Imagine if all of the little restraint they showed in Excel Saga was suddenly whipped back. It's like a long string of almost naked little girls and sex jokes. I had to sound like a prude 'cause I'm usually not, but this show broke m'brain.

Eh, I loved Puni Puni Poemi, but I will admit it's not for the kids. If you didn't have a problem with Excel Saga, then you shouldn't have a horrible problem with Puni Puni Poemi. It IS worse, but if you can sit through Excel Sage, you can sit through this ;p

I've heard it said that Puni Puni Poemi is like the 26th episode of Excel Saga... except it's Episodes 27 and 28 instead. A little on the adult side, and a bit expensive too (not much you can say about a two-episode series, except that the DVD box set should be cheaper). Amazon.com reviews attest to that.

My understanding is that with Puni Puni Poemi they basically mock every imaginable form of anime including Magic Girl and hentai.

... especially hentai, or ecchi. Seen the previews? "Okay, we'll just edit out the stuff that would get us sued." It was banned in an European nation, or was that just a rumour?

Since i have heard of it only from friends who have seen it, (because i refuse to watch it) all i know is that it makes fun of ecchi/magical girl quirks (such as the tendancy for the subordinates to be weak and have no purpose other than fanservice, then the main charachter wipes out everything) and exaggerates them. One such subordinate has a "fanservice attack" that she uses on the enemy to little avail. If nudity and sexual humor bother you as much as it does me, don't watch it...

I think it's only two episodes in length if I remember rightly.
btw:When I took the Puni Puni Poemi quiz(I think it was at TheOtaku but can't be sure)I came out as the main character:Kobayashi, who is so insane she even
tells everyone to call her by her seiyuu's name which is Kobayashi!

All this is interesting, and has given me quite a bit of information on the series, but it no one has answered my other question. What the heck is with the girl with the blue hair and glasses? Is there actual logic behind her actions, or is she just a nympho?

You shouldn't be trying to seek logic in a series where logic does not exist.

Because I'm a lazy sack of crap and I didn't want to try to explain it...
Wikipedia wrote:It's not hard to spot 18-year-old Shii's most distinctive feature - her colossal breasts. She often announces how heavy they are, and knows their exact weight (800 grams each). They're problematic in her day-to-day life, necessitating that she frequently rest them on whatever is handy (she had smothered the family cat with them). With Poemy's arrival into the Aasu household, her head becomes a favourite resting place.

So there you have it. The scene you're referring to is probably just her expressing her relief of having something to rest them on :p

Yeah I saw about the first five minutes and had to turn it off because there was way to much sexual stuff in it.
