What are your thought on M.A.R.
At first I didn't think much of it, then I watched it and thought it was good. Now CN has seemed to take it off the air
note: I did a search but didn't find a discussion thread for MAR if there is then I apologize

Im not a fan of Mar, but its still a pretty good anime. The only reason I don't prefer it is the childness of it.
I think they did that because you see right now Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo is in its last episodes. And they want to get the show out of the way. And also One Piece is going to start a new with new episodes in August with new voices because 4KIDS dropped it and FUNimation took the rights. So I just think at the moment its on stand-by until the get a good schedule going again. But remember you can always watch Mar on Toonami jetstream if you want, its still there.
And another reason is because of the Fantastic Four. It going to probably go off air in the fall. And also they are having like special types of saturdays recently. You know like Transformers being on for two hours yesterday and a full night of Naruto for the fourth of July. So right now I say just be patient because its sure to come back on. Me personally I can't wait for Prince of Tennis which goes along with Mar.
Well anyways thats my two cents on the situation.

My thought is:
I really enjoy both Wendee Lee and Michelle Ruff's work and they're both in it.
Though I think Wendee Lee has a bit more fun overall as she gets to voice
Dorothy which can be serious at times and other times downright comical.

At first I thought it was average shonen and my opinion of it decreased until the series eventually ended. To clarify, I read the manga and I'm not counting MAR Omega. It seems cheap to make everything be decided by a tournament (do we really need another one of those?). While the rules might be interesting in a more complex series, making the entire match depend on the Captain's is irritating and removes any real possibility of them losing or use of aforementioned rules by anyone other than the villains. Combine that with a weak endgame plot and you have a pretty mundane series.

I prefer Flame of Recca, but I suppose that to an extent, MAR is a good series.

As I said I like it because two of my favorite voice actresses,Michelle Ruff and
Wendee Lee,are in it.It's also a lot lighter than some of the other shows Toonami has showed.

What I've seen of this series really annoyed me.

I think the DVD is coming out.
What annoyed me most though was the way Toonami kept it confusing when they first aired it by airing it out of sequence instead of in chronogical order.Since most people probably were watching it for the first time and hadn't seen it on the streamlined version it just didn't make much sense.
Even if you had seened the streamlined version it still made sense to have had it
aired in chronological order,I mean we aren't talking about Haruhi here but MAR.

Never read or watched MAR, but it seems like standard shonen fare. I'll pass on that. The world didn't need another tournament series.

Quoted for truth.
"Flame of Recca" is a tournament series that is beyond excellent from the maker of MAR.
I do like that this series is short for a shonen anime.

I read all of the manga as well. I don't think it is the worst, but it's certainly far from the best. It has a really weak endgame(which made me suspect that the author himself got tired of it and wanted to end it), and most of the protagonists seemed really over-powered to me especially later on(like two never lose at all). Actually, of the main cast, only Jack and Snow never seemed uber-powerful to me.
Flame of Recca was indeed a superior series.
