Sequences used too often in amv....

If you watch amvs on a regular basis, do you ever get annoyed when people keep using parts from certain episodes of a series?......
I do....It's actually becuase there are so many amvs about Naruto that I actually for the most part know almost all the characters in the series....and I've only watched like 10 episodes......Anyone else know of certain episodes from certain series that are used just way to often?
Here are some examples:
Sonic X amvs often have clips from Episode 34 (or 35) that has Shadow becoming Super Shadow or Episode 73.....
Naruto amvs always seem to have that one large power battle between Naruto and Saske....that one can get tedious after awhile....

This is a big part of why I don't watch many AMVs anymore.
The first thing that springs to mind for me is FLCL, which really isn't fair to harp on since there's only 6 episodes to draw footage from (still, Naota taking the Vespa to the face gets used a LOT)
Evangelion AMVs seem to draw from the first two episodes a LOT as well. That missile getting caught mid-air has become a VERY familiar sight.

Overused footage is a major problem for AMVs. At least some creators know how annoying this can be. Check out 2:25 in
this video for a very notable absence of recycling.

You know, I used to like AMV's, but I kinda edged back from them for the plain and simple fact that I never seem to like the song that's playing. It's always done by some group that everyone knows about except yours truly...
 Is a little Otis Redding, Earth Wind and Fire, or James Brown too much to ask for?! I'm just a young black guy from Louisiana--I don't know squat about Nickelback or Maroon 5 or any of the other rinky-dinky bands! Gimme some SOUL! Some R&B!

Just out of cureosity what bands do you know. I often type in band and song names that I like to find amvs that use them.
as for sequences that all amvs use umm can't think of any. opening seem to get used a lot.

I would have inserted some different artists into my rant, but otherwise you took the words right out of my mouth!

You know, there's only so much fight scenes with Linkin Park songs I can handle...Nothing against Linkin Park, or anything. It's just that it gets really old after a while.

Allow me to educate you:
Nickelback--Vocalist sings as if he were racing to the bathroom with tight buttcheeks because he ate bad chili. Lyrics are generally terrible ("confusing stars with satellites?" WHATDAHECK?) Despite being objectively a lousy band, they have a lot of listeners.
Maroon 5 -- terrible vocals. Most likely what we hear on the radio is heavily engineered. Even so, sounds like crap, too nasally.

I would say the ones that get used the most is usually the most mainstream anime. You know like Inuyasha, Naruto, and Gundam.
This is off topic, but one I found really funny was a Code Monkey AMV.
I can still remember some of the lyricks too. ~ "Code Monkey likes fritos, Code Monkey like Tab and Mountain Dew." ~
Still off topic. There was also one with various anime that didn't have a song persey but it was still an AMV. It had the monologue from that episode of Futurama. "Don't date Robots!" It was very funny.

The four elements sequence from the beginning of Avatar's opening theme. I know Avatar isn't technically an anime, but still.

If it doesn't have Yuna dancing around with her staff, then it is not an FFX AMV :/ hard to criticize things like that though since well, they don't have THAT many cutscenes in it. Still, out of all the FFX AMVs I've seen, not one does NOT have that scene.

Is FF really considered to be anime? I thought it was just a RPG.

I...can't say really.
I guess I just avoid these sorts of AMV's, even though I have quite a few saved to my YouTube account.
It might be because I watch AMV's for songs that no one would ever use. Such as
this one.

The part of the Trigun opening with Vash and Knives crossing their guns.

...if someone else didn't say it I was going to. STOP USING LINKIN PARK IN AMV'S!
To keep on subject, just about every
Samurai Champloo AMV I have seen has the same fight in it.
Where Jin and Mugen meet for the first time in the first episode. Yeah it's a good scene, but be more original.

No, but games like that are VERY often used (especially on the official site) because of it's anime-esque sequences. I mean hey, close enough.
