Just curious. Does anyone know of a place online or offline where I can go to sell anime DVDs? I am looking for an alternative to eBay or Amazon.

Thanks!

Ebay is your best bet, I would say.

Sam Goody or FYE might also be good too. I think EB might, but that could just be video games.

EB is just games.

Hmm.. FYE, Hastings, Sam Goody, and Gamestop are good places to sell anime DVDs.

I'm totally confused now.
Do you mean you're looking for a place where you want to SELL some of your own
DVDs?

Yep. At least I'd like to sell the DVD's I've had for a year or two that I don't plan on watching anymore (mostly spur of the moment/single volume purchases).

Mostly it's to trim my collection down.

I sold some of my brother's things on ebay for him awhile ago. He didn't get that great of a price, though. I don't know that anywhere else would have better prices. People will only pay what the market supports, and used things don't always earn nearly what you'd think they should.

I'm still an active member of an anime & manga trading/selling forum called http://www.animeka.net I highly recommend posting your stuff there. I'll at least take a look.

Actually, they DO have a small little section of DVDs... Although, they used to give you money for what the item is "worth" (like trading in games), but now it's a straight amount for any DVD, which isn't a whole lot.

Hmmm. I'm not sure I follow. What is meant when the word "collection" is between trim and down?

I am very confused.

Collection : The collective amount of anime DVDs I've purchased.
"Trim-down": Getting rid of unnecessary/unwatchable DVDs.

Collection + "Trim-down" = Getting rid of unnecessary and unwatchable anime DVDs I've purchased over the years.

Well I am for one always interested in acquiring new DVDs.If you were interested
PM me with a list of titles and I could tell you if I were interested in any of them.
That way we could do away with the middle man.

Will do. Though I'll check the local possibilities first (EB, Sam Goody) and later see if it's possible to arrange something through the PM's... :)

Looks like you really don't have to worry about it as it seems that a lot of us are interested in seeing what you have.
