Actually, I must agree.

The style is just kinda... whacked. The CG is even worse, the characters are pathetic in battle... someone tried to justify it by saying they used "guerilla tactics", but no... just... no.

And on a side-note... it's French. >_>

::pulls out a giant saw:: I could do it for ya! Just five bucks!

Anyway, back on subject, Code LYOKO doesn't (or shouldn't) classify as anime! It originated in France! That automatically rules it out!

The characters are really apple-headed (in more ways than one) and the plotline is truly unbelieveable! My nephew loves it, but of course he's 6, so I can't hold THAT against him.

Do the French produce any good cartoons? I think I know of a good cartoon that began as a comic which originated there, but I forgot its name.

Just terrible. Who would think those character designs attractive? It's like the abstact painting of obese people I saw in a gallery. Huh?

The style isn't very anime-ish. It looks more Western to me. Anyway, I don't think it's that bad, perhaps except for the giant foreheads.

I haven't sat down and watched the show, so I can't speak for plot or the like. All I can say is I found the voice acting to be absolutely atrocious. And when I don't like listening to a character talk, I'm probably not going to watch the show.

I saw an episode of this once. It was confusing to say the least. And yes, they have giant heads, little, narrow eyes which make their foreheads even larger. As for all the other stuff, it was too long ago to remember the voices, and one episode hardly lets me cretic the plot. Oh well. Let's say, CN could do better.

The fight scenes are, in a word, bull.

I saw this particular episode where two of the characters (monkey-guy and the girl with the fan) had to go into the computer world and save the computer girl from these robots:

Monkey runs in, "attacks", hits, kill the monster in one hit, then gets himself shot and dies.
Girl with fan runs in, kills another monster, gets shot, dies.
Computer girl gets left with one robo.
Yippee.

Quite odd, since earlier in the episode the computer girl managed to run to this hole that just so happened to have these rock structures coming out of it, which she led the robot on and made him fall into the pit (which was maybe about 30 feet; the robot was about 10).

Isn't Inspector Gadget French? He's pretty rad in his Inspector Gadget kind of way.

:| The art is strangely angular. I have no comment on this show, but I really don't like the art. I think they drew it in the vein of DBZ art style. I also thought it was hilarious that the guy with glasses had his voice actor changed; his new voice was really really dorky...and overly exaggerated. XD I can't believe this hasn't been cancelled yet.

If I'm not mistaken Snorks was a French comic. I know Smurfs was Belgian. While we're on the subject, has Asterisk ever been animated?

I actually like the art while they're in the "real world" ... but that about the extent of any liking for this series from me. I can sit through an episode with my brother, but its not like WHOOO MUST WATCH CODE LYOKO~ ... no... XD

it is a kid's show though.. although I was surprised that there were some times that the girl (Yuki? Yuri? something) was shown only in her underwear and bra. One time I remember in particular is when the evil computer thing locks her in a room with the guy who likes her (the brown haired kid..) and the heat starts going up until they were almost dying and they both took their shirts off. The guy was polite and promised not to look though.... so it was okay. But still, I was like O_o;; kids show.. hmm

For a while, I thought Inspector Gadget was ANIME! It just had that kind of style...to this day, I'm not sure!

Well, he was voiced by Don Adams, so there's that aspect...

But Inspector Gadget was one of many cartoons in the 80's made by DIC, which is indeed a French company.

And let's remember this. If it weren't for the French, we wouldn't have Lupin III.

LOL. i saw that episode and i was like .. 'woah there buddy.' XD

ive seen it. the animation is really interesting.. they are very angular. but the voice acting. ugh. sooo bad. >.<
and i thought it was wierd that they swapped it.. i mean.. like. .wouldnt it make more sense to make them 3D in the REAL world, and then 2D in the computer world? ...
but i thought the storyline was really interesting. :3
but.. animation and voice acting.. not my favorite.

i dont watch it on a daily basis, in fact- i havent seen it for like months now. >.>

crazy french people! :p

XD i mean that in the most polite way possible, of course! cause i take french.

Yes, i find this show to be most awful. One time i was watching for a little bit, and i was like...... :eh: . so it's French? i never knew that. My friend has the theme song in french on his computer. figures. Yeah, I think the animation style looks retarded. The characters seem to have the "Beavis and Butthead" thing going on with their giant heads. and just for the record, this show doesn't begin to compare to beavis and butthead.

Yeah, Beavis and Butthead was actually, you know, FUNNY.

Yeah, we kinda' did stray from the subject. But anyway, it looks as though we've all made our point that this show is awful.

When people agree on something be awful, it goes on and on, and moreso if someone disagrees. Hopefully no one does on this, though. XP
