I've only read volume one, myself, but I was very fond of it. I bought the rest of the volumes in the series to read at my leisure. Well, I bought the ones that have been released so far, that is.

I have read about six volumes. Around however many are available in the United States at the moment, though I'm not particularly trying to read all of them. It is your usual CLAMP material in many aspects.

Should this be moved to manga? Is there any anime for it?

I finished the first volume. Good, but weird. Now for Volume 2.

Doesn't it actually exist within the worlds of other CLAMP titles? I mean, XXXHolic actually intertwines with it alot, and the main characters are alternate versions of those from Card Captor Sakura (even has something to do with Clow, I believe).

Well it takes other worlds ans combines them. Only one world is actually visited that is a real clamp world from another series, that being XXholic. The otheres just are similar. More like alternate realities. There are simillarities in some, and charachters from: Miyuki in Wonderland, chobits, RG Veda, Magic Knights Rayearth, and more. It's the ultimate CLAMP crossover series.

There is, which is why I have not moved it. Judging from the general tone, I thought the original user was asking about the anime, and most people (including myself) merely responded with what we know of the series from the manga. If everyone wishes it to be moved I can easily do so.

That is a good summary.

Oh, so it is just crossing over CLAMP series. Does everybody have their own? Is it like the Kingdom hearts of Cla,p/

So far, Mr. Black (chuckles) is my favorite character.

no it's not just a crossover, the series has an original story usuing charachters in part form other series. Syaoran and Sakura are the main chaachters from Card Captor Sakura. I guess you could say it's like the Kingdom Hearts of Clamp. Except Sora wasn't from another game in an alternate universe. I'd say it's similar to the Pretty Sammy series as well, which took Tenchi Myuo charcathers and made a magic girl anime. Had new charachters and old.

The anime is beautifully constructed. That is the art and music is good. The voice actors were perfect choices. But they drag things out in certain worlds. And do some lame changes. And it ends around volume 9 of the manga. Not sure if its 8 or 9. Can't remember exactly which volume it was. But it was somewhere around there. It's nice to watch once. DOn't know if I'd really want to watch it again. The manga though I adore and reread often.

I am also fond of Kurogane-sama. =D

Just FYI, "tsubasa" means "wing". Probably has to do with why the Memories look like feathers...

PostPosted: Sun Dec 11, 2005 3:32 pm
by kazekami
That is exactly why. Considering the wing symbolism in the series as well. Sakuras wings flew into pieces and her memories were spread around the different worlds. The ruins where her powers awakened also had wings on them. Also the bad guy who seems to be after Sakura's power also has wings as a symbol.

Is the manga over? Did Tsubasa ever appear on CN (assumes AS).

rumor has it that the manga will eventually be 24 volumes long, or 150 chapters. Volume 12 came out recently in japan and chapter 100 was the last serialized chapter released

The anime will be starting season 2 this spring in Japan. It was just "licenced" by Funimation last week and has yet to be released in America

Keep in mind I have not read very much of the manga, but I have a question I would like others to answer: have we discovered much about the plot of the villain(s)? From the ominous appearances I have seen so far I haven't been impressed, but have no real reason to believe the plot will be bad.

kazekami wrote:I guess you could say it's like the Kingdom Hearts of Clamp.

That's a very fitting comparison, actually. Removing Sakura, we would then have: a main character with spiky hair, a sidekick that is a physical fighter and a sidekick that is (technically) a magic user. Furthermore, all the side characters they gain leave when they go to the next world, and the plot also essentially starts over. You could make a Gummi Ship comparison as well.

I think all we know so far is that the villians want Sakura's power, whatever it is, for themselves. The name of the main villian has been revealed in Japan, and it is.
Fei Wong Reed ^_^. Take a guess who he's related to.
I'm glad to hear there will be a second season. Because the place it stopped was bad.

I know Rocketshipper, THE FEI from Xenogears!!!!!!!

Actaully, Uc, as far as story goes I consider it the Kingdom Hearts of CLAMP, but as far as companies go it is not. Since Two different companes merged.
