Geneon is set to release the first DVD on 12/26. I haven't seen it, but being a media geek, I'm digging the concept of a space-based reality show where the ship goes down if ratings falter.

So who's seen it, and what's the low-down?

I don't know much about it, but it seems like the same kind of insanity that made Nadesico so great.

I have the first DVD on order. I think it's a great premise. Good enough for me to see how they follow through with it.

its a 13 ep series, iv'e seen up to episode 8. So far i've really enjoyed the series, the reality show thing gives it an original sorta premise, while the series keeps up with the action the combat takes a very dramatic approach, and is very bridge/crew action orientated, the characters are easily likeable too. From what i remember theres also no nudity etc. in it and not much if any offensive langauge, that was in the fansubs mind you i dunno about the dvds yet.

Out of interest do ya know how many eps are gonna be on each dvd? iwanna get it when it comes out over here.

Looks like it's probably 4 eps; Geneon's website lists the run time as 100 minutes.

Yes... Japanese companies won't usually allow the US to release the DVD with a Japanese language version until their own discs come out first. US discs are MUCH better a deal.
