(Also known as Sensei no Ojikan).

Very funny and cute series that was just released in the US a few weeks ago. Has anybody seen this yet? It's a very similiar series to Azumanga Daioh and stars a 4-foot, teacher who happens to be in her late twenties. There's even a few characters that look like the ones from AD.

I've watched the first volume. It's OK. However, I feel it falls very short of the charm of Azumanga Daioh.

They tried much too hard to force every type of class stereotype in too quickly. The character interaction that seemed to click among the differing personalities of Azumanga was also lacking. While the animation and overall direction at a casual glance might make one think this is a title for all ages, there is far too much in the way of innuendoes that I would definitely give it a 16+.

It's not quite Azumanga Daioh, but as far as most "school animes," it fits in as one of the better ones in my opinon. As far as the jokes, this show is intended for a slightly older audience than AD.

I thought it looked rather intresting myself.

I'm very interested in this series, and I've ordered the first volume. Now I'm a little wary, however, due to Rev. Doc's post... I guess I'll give it a try.

It's not as bad as it sounds. Rev. Doc is right about the innuendoes of the show being out there at times (even though it's not a fanservice-driven show). Also, there is one particular male character who happens to be obsessed with another male student, though it's played out just for laughs (sort of like a male-version of Kaorin from AD).

That's not to say that the characters aren't interesting or how the teacher is the best part about the show. As long as one doesn't compare AD to Doki Doki, it should an enjoyable, laid-back show to watch.
