What if a Christian organization created a Christian anime show that was very well drawn? would you watch it?

Well being "Christian" isn't exactly a reason to watch. There is a lot of
junk out there with "Christian" labels so it had be quality to begin with.
Secondly I agree with everyone else who has said the storyline is just
as important. If you don't have a good storyline then you don't have
anything to watch.Third you need characters that the audience can
relate to or at least sympathize with or empathize with.
Finally of course comes the artwork and the voice acting. These have to
go together because if you have good artwork but poor acting or good
acting and poor artwork it is going to distract from the series and people
aren't going to watch.

Only if it were well made. It would have to be good enough that I would watch it even if I didnt know it was Christian. Actually the fact that it was Christian would not factor into my watching it at all.

I would have to agree with the storyline buisness. I don't really think a "Christian" anime is the case. I could be like the Chronicles of Narnia or something one of another.

I think that it would be ideal for the anime to be made from a christian worldview, but not state that it was specifically christian.

Well, the problem with making a Christian anime would of course be of which stories to do from it? Keep in mind the Bible isn't a children's book. The story of Samson, for example, would be very violent and probably contain partial nudity, thus giving it a higher rating.
After all, remember Passion of the Christ.
NOTE: My statement merely refers to the fact that Jesus' crucifixion was very violent, and was accurately portrayed by the movie. I am not trying to start a debate on the movie itself, and please do not do so...I merely was using that as an example that many stories from the Bible are not child-friendly.

I agree with everybody. If i heard of one I would watch the firse episode, but if the stroyline was silly and the characters were not fun to watch, I wouldn't keep watching it. But maybe it will happen one day. I mean, I was suprised to even find this site. God can use any subject in his plan.

No, I'm not meaning bible stories. Just a christian themed anime. A stroy of a kids journey to salvation or something like that.

Ditto what everyone else has said.
I don't see this topic living much longer...

Double ditto what the others said.
I think that it would be ideal for the anime to be made from a christian worldview, but not state that it was specifically christian.
That's what I plan to do with some of my games: have a few Christian refrences but not specifically state the game as being one.

sure, if it wasn't cheesy or the story was good and if the art was good

Probably, as long as it isn't geared for kiddies like Superbook and The Flying House.

I'd for sure watch it if it was well done and good; however, the Christian community especially is hugely diverse in alot of its opinions on various issues regarding content, stories, messages, some beliefs, morals, etc. Thus, any hope of a good, quality, entertaining, as well as thought-provoking, heart-moving would most likely get lost in all of the above mentioned hu-bub. Not trying to be pessimistic per se', but it is most certainly a rather realistic look at the idea. :-(

As much as I hate to say it, its a huge 'if'
Which stinks.
