Yay!
MyrrhLynn adds another to the database. ^^ And I agree that a dub would add an extra something.

Yay it's up! Thanks Gypsy!
Here's a quick update on the Victorian Romance Emma manga:
The manga follows the anime very closely but continues with the story. Actually the anime was originally planned to be much longer but the budget got cut. So if you would like to see how the story contines, just check out the manga! (The manga and anime are both still unlicensed as I type this.)

I'm gonna gravedig (bad me) and pull this one up to say that coming Spring 2007 is the second season/sequal of Emma. I will try my best to also review that one, but it looks like it's going to be pretty similar just a continuation of the storyline.

This anime and manga series is excellent - I've fallen in love with it! ^_^ In both the manga and the second act of the anime, Emma's personality really gets a chance to shine, and she makes me want to be a better person. I think other than Tohru, no other anime character has had that effect. Check this title out if you already haven't!!

This is a great and highly recommended title. I liked it so much I was even suckered into purchasing the Emma figure during a recent sale. I'm looking forward to season 2.

I bought my little sister this manga. I think she likes this series. Maybe I should get her volume two for her birthday.

I know this isn't really the place, but I did want to mention that both the Second Act (2nd season) and Vol 4 of the manga has nudity in it. I mean ... what are supporting characters for if not to use as fanservice? *goes off to pout*

Hey you beat me too it! I was coming back to warn everyone that my review for season 1 should not apply to season 2. There's only 2 scenes of female nudity but they go way beyond the normal "bath scene fanservice". Actually the plot and pacing changes quite a bit in the 2nd season so I think a second review will probably be necessary. (I haven't seen the end yet though).
I also wanted to say that this series is being licensed! For cheap release! YAY! Except they aren't going to be English dubbing it. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I don't know what they are thinking, this is one of the only animes that would be MUCH better in English. I think the problem is that in order to do it well it would require a whole slew of English accent voice actors.
:Edit: Actually Gypsy if you read this would you mind going back to edit my anime review and say there is a second season but it should not be considered part of this original review? Oh and mark that it's licensed now!

Just my take on why no dub. I think they didn't want to waste alot of money for a dub of anime that they worry that it may not sell well.
I know the story takes place in England, but I don't think the dub must have an English accent voices in it.

I think Nozomi licensed it. For those of you who don't know, Nozomi is the new RightStuf Entertainment.
