Nope! ADV got the rights to Super Dimensional Fortress Macross and they are planning on redubing it.

That's interesting. If they ever did remake it I think that it'd be awesome if Gonzo did the animation.

It would be nice if they did a remake, I guess but I don't see that happening.


Oh, Harmony Gold is making a sequel from Robotech called Robotech: The Shadow Chronicles, which will be a US OAV.


The reason this is big news as for a dub is. AnimEigo had the rights to a Super Dimensional Fortress Macross and they put it out in a box set in 2001 and I think it was sub only.

Then Harmony Gold re-appropriated the rights and now ADV will be re-releasing with now a English dub.

I hope this works out and we will see them release Macross Flash Back 2012 (OAV), Macross II, Macross Plus and Macross Zero (OVA)

They can keep Macross 7, blah! Then again, I don't think they will every release that one anyway.

Macross Zero is the newest Macross story and it's a prequel of Super Dimensional Fortress. It's five episodes long and production was done by Bandai Visual, Big West, Macross Zero Project and Satelight.

Satelight did the animation for Macross Zero and it was very well done.

Interesting...I've actually only seen The Macross Saga and Macross Plus OVA's...I haven't seen much more than that of the series.
