The last episode in the series was a liitle strange. It moved to fast and left out some explination as to exactly what went on in the end. I don't want to say how it ended because I don't want to ruin it for anyone, but I will say that the events that lead to the conclusion weren't all to clear.

I agree Mangafantic and Mr. Smartypants that there was way to much fanservice. I think the script could be reworked to exclude most if not all of the fanservice and My-HiME would still be a great series. Other than the fanservice and the sort of cloudy ending, I belive that this was a very well done anime. If it weren't for the fan service and the yuri element (which is only one way through out most of it's existance in the story), I would not think twice about watching it again.

Wow I can't believe how detailed this review is! Personally I found the plot of Mai Hime to be quite good and I would have enjoyed it a lot more if there wasn't so much fanservice in it. Really in most cases the fanservice could be taken out and it wouldn't affect the story as well.

Oh and just as a warning to people who might be interested in the series and try to look for pictures. Most of the official art for Mai Hime is full of fanservice as well.

:red: Um, I hope that's a good thing.

It's good to see you around, Myrrh. You and your wallpapering genius has been much missed.
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

Oh no I think it's great that it is so detailed. I mean when I watched the show I knew there was a lot of fanservice, but after I read the review I was like "Holy cow! There was a LOT LOT of fanservice in that show! o_o " I remembered most of the scenes listed as well, so really I think anyone interested in the show can consider this review a great guide to what to watch out for. And I think it also points out that there is so much fanservice in the show it is impossible to "just skip over it" as some people might suggest you try to do. :thumb:

Ahh wow I feel so loved now! Just because you said that I'm gonna go and submit a wall right now! ;)
