Samurai 7

Has anyone heard as to whether or not we'll be getting the anime Samurai 7, and if so when? I saw an article for in Newtype back in December. It looks pretty tight, being based off of the older movies of the same or similar titles back in like the 70s or something like that. They said the anime would be promising, and I just wanted to know if anyone had heard anything.

It's based on the famous movie "Seven Samurai"

Essentially, it's a sci-fi version of Seven Samurai, but a fair amount of plot is new. (In the original, of course, the Imperial Court didn't even make an appearance) The action sequences are pretty nicely done for a sword-fighting series, even if somewhat impossible. Altogether it's pretty well done.
The cake used to be a lie like you, but then it took a portal to the deception core.

Hey any of you interested in this show need to bolt over to http://www.rightstuf.com because they're doing preorders on the special edition DVD 1 which comes with a 160 page art book and a smaller 36 page art booklet! As a plus, until I believe the 24th of this month they're doing a Geneon promo that'll knock 40% off the price, so basically I preordered this with shipping for just a little over $30 rather than like $50! Hurry up!
