Postby Joshua Christopher » Sat May 28, 2005 11:55 pm

Any of you humans know much about these?

I read the Rahxephon review, and it sounds cool, as does Gasaraki.

So, if ye shan't mind, do me a favour and drop some info here for me. : )

I have seen both series in their entirety, and both are excellent! I would have to say that overall I liked Rahxephon more, but Gasaraki still was great as well. Both are "mecha" type anime, but Gasaraki deals alot more with world war, political turmoil, and family dynasties/struggles. Rahxephon is, in my opinion, a bit more "well-rounded" in that there's a great balance of action, love, drama, and overall philosophical and personally emotional plot. I highly recommend both shows! Both shows are very introspective in that they both deal with the main characters' internal struggles and and thoughts alot and how they may be able to overcome these struggles. Due to the more political nature of Gasaraki, it starts out slower than Rahxephon, but things pick up by the end of the second disc. I would have to say that overall it has a darker feel to it (at least I thought so) compared to Rahxephon. Rahxephon has beautiful art and the story and characters are phenomenal, having affected me in a personal way. Rahxephon hit me on a ton of personal levels, and to a point that I haven't been hit by an anime in quite some time. I hope that this helps you, even a bit! Please let me know if you have any other detailed questions! Either PM me or just post another reply!

I totally recomend RahXephon. Gasaraki is good to but its more of a thinking anime then an action one. I enjoyed both though.

Totally agree with the above posts. Gasaraki is a bit slower, because of all the politics[and actual number of main characters involved], but I really loved it.

RahX? Best ever. Besides the storyline, I just liked how the show looked...

I haven't seen RahXephon, but I did enjoy Gasaraki. Like the others have said, the plot does move fairly slowly, so you might not want to watch it unless you have some tolerance for that sort of thing. In general, though, the story was fairly good; as long as you don't mind a slow-moving plot, I wouldn't have any reservations about recommending it.

RahXephon is a very intresting anime. Not only that but the animation is top notch. I'm really liking it though I have to admit, I like Evangelion better. But RahXephon does have one thing Eva doesn't: hope. Where Eva excels at angst and hopelessnes...RahXephon reverses it.

I am intrested in seeing Garasaki now. I like anime with politcal conflict mixed with world war....kinda like Mobile Suit Gundam: 08th MS Team. Unlike most Gundam series, the main chaarcters were normal soliders trying to survive in a very war-like atmosphere.
