Calarts 2004 Animation Showcase

It's my understanding that CalArts is one of the best film/video colleges around. I think I'd like to apply there - but that is very much beside the point of this thread.

This is probably best suited for those with a high speed connection, but it's a link to some of the animation projects that CalArts students made.

Some of them are insane, and some are excellent. I wanted to point those interested in the direction of "A Girl's Life." It's towards the bottom. It has a very unique blend of anime/Disney style design that I found completely awesome. Be sure to watch it twice so it makes sense, though. The first time you watch it won't do the trick. You'll see. :)

Small disclaimer - although I've watched most of the animations on this page, I have not watched all. I'm pretty sure they're all PG or under, but please let me know if I need to pull the link. ^^

*EDIT* I just noticed something rather cool about "A Girl's Life." The artist based one scene on a very small clip of Beauty and the Beast! I recognize the screenshot (right after Belle's hair comes loose and she's trying to fight the wolves off) because years ago I paused my VHS tape and tried to draw it because it was such a cool looking expression. ^^

*POST EDIT* Sigh. After checking around some more, I found one animation that was of bad taste, so I pulled the link. Carry on. -_-
