That I have. Pretty good, considering the differences in the animation qualities would make it really difficult to edit together. To think, they were both made in 1998.

Studio BONES did the animation for Cowboy Bebop, and Madhouse did the animation for Trigun. Both series are from 1998, yet it's quite obvious that Bebop has FAR superior animation, because Studio BONES > Madhouse.

<<BONES < Madhouse.>>
<<BONES > Madhouse.>>
I'm afraid I have to side with Impact-sama on that one. MADHOUSE can do nice animation, if they have a big enough budget (or they feel like it), but they did a very bad job on Trigun. There are about three well-animated episodes in the entire series, with "Fifth Moon" being about rock-bottom.

<<[Impact-sama's Spike picture.]>>
I have that picture on a T-shirt. It's, like, my favorite shirt EVER.

Oh well. I suppose I'm just biased because I love Trigun and don't know that much about BONES or Cowboy Bebop.

Though I don't know what else they've worked on, I think Madhouse did a good job of copying Nightow's style (for the first two volumes at least).

Ninja Scroll, Jubei-chan, parts of the Animatrix, off the top of my head. You'd have to look it up on ANN or maybe Wikipedia. And it would be rather difficult to copy a non-existant syle. Nightow-sensei isn't quite set in one way of drawing just yet. I mostly go by the way he does his penwork to tell if it's him. I pointed it out on the cover of Gungrave and Tidus20 thought I was insane...

I apologize for the double-post.

I'm guessing last night hit you guys hard.

Do you wanna talk about it?

Or maybe join my campaign against sandwiches of all shapes and sizes?

...

Sorry about that last bit.

I must have fallen mentally asleep at some point because I'm sure I missed the part where Vash shot Wolfwood. All I know is the next scene shows Meryl crying.

o.o; Sorry to break it to you, but that's not what happened at all.

This is kind of demented, but once after we watched that episode, my brother and I discussed which kind of sandwich children we probably are. We somehow came to the conclusion that we are tuna and grape sandwich children.

I don't know what the heck you were watching, but it sure wasn't the twenty-third episode of Trigun. Actually, before I knew anything about Trigun, someone told me this is what happened. You can see evidence of this on my original engagement announcement buried somewhere on the Bishie Thread.

SPOILERS!!! Guys, I'm pulling another Friday Night Freakathon here, and you're blasting me with spoilers! Dost thou not knowest how to use the spoiler tags?

Nothing too damaging, though. The Anime-a-minute thread killed (no pun intended) the one scene already mentioned. As for the rest, I just scrolled through the page as fast as I could to get away from all you insensitive people. ;)

I think I'll come back later, when it's safe.

Well, you shouldn't mind what Mitsuki Lover said. It was completely wrong. ^^; And how could you guess the sandwiches thing?! How can you automatically relate sandwiches to-... Nevermind. I just hadn't realized we were spoiling so much.

I would never use a cute quote for the sake of being cute. (EDIT: Especially under such serious circumstances.) That is SLANDER and I ORDER you to take it back IMMEADIATELY. I am kidding, you know!
And, no, I have an idea, but I don't really understand what you mean. I am desperately hoping it won't be anything I'll regret asking about.

I guess you'll get to find out.

Okay. You know what "eating sandwiches" meant, right? So, my brother and I wondered...well...what kind of sandwich eating we came from. Oh gosh, that sounds so much more wrong than our thought processes actually were at the time. We actually figured that we're tuna and grape sandwiches, because it has both meat and fruit, so we're a balanced meal.

We are the children of tuna and grape!

*still lost*

Sukebe?

Man, I'm feeling dense right now.

And no, I didn't really *get* the sandwich reference.

No, Lunis, I didn't automatically relate sandwiches to ..., I just saw the "Meryl crying" and the "shot Wolfwood" parts and came to the above conclusion that spoilers were flying. My fault, I suppose, for waiting so long to watch them.

Okay, so to finally make a coherent statement: I hadn't seen the fact that
Wolfwood was working for Knives
coming at all. Big surprise there. I also thought that
Wolfwood's death
was also done very artistically and handled well. The scene where
Vash shoots Legato
was riveting, and in general I'm getting the feeling that Trigun is one of the greatest animes I've seen in a while. Once it's over I'm going to embark on the road to Otakudom. =D Great show, and I'm really looking forward to the finale. It should be spectacular.
