I'm not saying I don't like Legato... I do, I love him.. he's creepy... he's smooth evil, and so loyal... I feel sorry for him, too.

He's almost like an X-Files villain, or like my second favorite character in the Left Behind books when I was reading those - Nicholae Carpathia... you've got to love smooth, creepy psychic psychos... especially when they wear bones... He's one of the best villains I've seen in all of anime... and I like him a lot better than Knives, too.

I just.. like Vash as my favorite character. I'm sorry, but in a Vash vs. Legato debate, I'm going to go with Needle-Noggin' every time!

Heh... and fangirls... if they got to live their fantasy and go to Planet Gunsmoke, here is how an encounter with Legato would go...

Fangirl: Ooh, Legato! You're SOOOOO COOL! I LOVE YOU!

Legato: You told me that you would give me your heart, is this correct?

Fangirl: Oh, yes, yes, yes!

Legato: *Cruel smirk*

Fangirl: Ow! Hey, what's going on? What are you doing?

Legato: You told me that you would give me your heart. I want your heart - literally.

Fangirl: *Scraming, gagging, other "lovely" sounds*

*collapses laughing that anyone would even THINK of buying anime from ebay, that well-known population of bootleggers and outright scammers. . .

Seriously, don't buy from ebay, especially if you're going for collector's value or you don't want to take a risk of never getting what you pay for-or getting a bootleg. :(

If you just want to see the anime whatever way, and you have cable, watch it when it comes back on TV this December. It wasn't edited too badly, you're not supporting bootleggers, and you won't get scammed.

If you definitely want to see the sub or have it for collector's value, then don't mess with ebay-ESPECIALLY if you're at all interested in the latter. Instead, spend a little more money or buy the volumes separately so you can buy from a legitimate retailer rather than a person who could be a legit seller-but who also could be a con artist. :)

Auction fraud is one of the top five fraud complaints in the US annually (along with identity theft, home and car repair scams, and telemarketer fraud), and the top Internet-related fraud complaint, topping even spam-related fraud, including the ubiquitous 419 fraud. Simply put, ebay is like a casino-you pay to play, and sometimes the cost is getting ripped off. If you're not willing to accept that as a possibility, avoid ebay. :)

That is also where I get my anime (any my books, and my games, and my electronics... ). They are an excellent source for anime, and cool things in general.

In addition, always have a fair price, and usually the lowest price on items.

Don't completely overlook Ebay: they do have some good deals if you go about it in the right way. Granted, there is the chance that you will get ripped off, but you can be compensated for that (up to a certain amount, at least; but it is enough to cover all but the most expensive anime).

"lunch break" ...?

Wouldn't that imply that he wasn't eating at some point?

I'm tellin ya, the dude [Legato] keeps Little Debbies in that massive shoulder thingey with the spikes. I mean, he must have problems with his blood sugar or something...must be all the work of being evil...

Hehhe... Legato and Little Debbies...

Actually, maybe it has something to do with psychic powers. They must be a drain on the system. Vash and Knives have some psychic abilities as Plants, right? Vash eats sugary donuts all the time.. a perfect source of carbohydrates, fat, and sugar... Legato loves his sweet things, (and just about all other foods), and he has high level teleketitc and mind-speaking abilities...

He needs sugar. Psychics need sugar to keep up that massive brainpower to do what they do!

Hmm. I think it could be more of a psychological issue. Legato eats because he feels emotionally empty, unworthy, unloved. He eats to take away the pain of being an unworthy human undeserving of a Plant's mere presence but wanting so much more. :shady:

That's my best guess. :)

I actually use that theory (the original) seriously. Telekenesis has to take your metabolism through the roof, or something. Energy doesn't come from nowhere.

Kinky. Plays right into the whole villain thing, too. ;)

Maybe he gets most of his energy from other people, and just eats for a change of pace.

I seriously go with the emotional eating theory. He eats to fill the emptiness of not being a Plant like his master. :)

Well, one fanfic actually speculated on that seriously, characterizing him as suffering from an eating disorder. . .:shady:

Yeah, I guess if you're one of those physically perfect (sans plot device-inflicted imperfections) bishies, you can't possibly gain a single pound that shouldn't be there...LOL Even if you had an eating disorder...

Come to think of it, Vash doesn't either! :shady:<--*jealous of people who can eat donuts and huge plates of spaghetti and never gain an ounce*

If you were an anime character, you could do a lot of other things as well.

On the flip side, you also couldn't hold a serious conversation for more than a few minutes.

My Trigun boxed set arrived today (bought on Ebay, mind you). It is in excellent condition. I watched the first episode, and I probably won't have a chance to see any more than that before Christmas Break, but it looks good so far.

There have been multiple Trigun threads... many of which I'm sure have mentioned Wolfwood. I think he's had his own threads as well.

I like Wolfwood. He's cool. Shatterheart is a big fan as well. Personally, I like Legato more: just his disposure and unique abilities.
