Oh, I'm glad there's a review up now. I just watched this one last weekend, and I really enjoyed it. However, I have to warn sub fans that Disney did a pretty poor job of subtitling; it's actually dubtitled. In other words, you get the English script when you set the DVD up for English subtitles, so the subtitles tend to not be timed well with the Japanese voices.

It's a minor quibble, but one that I hope Disney does not do with other Ghibli movies. They haven't in all the others I've watched, but of course, I've got to watch My Neighbors the Yamadas and Pom Poko now (just released, btw!).

*ish happy to see my nice/short review up^^* (well it's not liek there was any bad scenes in it or anything :/)

But yeah I guess I forgot to mention about the dubtitle thingie. Very easily noticeable mistakes in the subs... in a sense, I've seen quite a bit of animes that DO the same kind of translating that they did... meh oh well. Still enjoyable^^

Yeah, I've heard about dubtitling before, but I hadn't really noticed it before, especially like in this movie. But it is indeed still an enjoyable little film. :thumb:

Hey, all. For cross reference purposes, I did a review a while back, too, but it is under Baron: The Cat Returns.
