Favorite RahXephon Characters

Postby mitsuki lover » Sat Oct 29, 2005 1:01 pm

Ok this is for all you RahXephon fans out there, which characters are your
favorites?
Mine are:
Haruka
Ayato
Qoun
Maya
Asahina
Megu
Kim
Mishima

Why?
Haruka because you just have to feel for the way she wants to have everything back to where it was before the Mu came and she and Ayato can really be together again.

Ayato because of the fact he is so confused and is trying so hard to learn what the truth is and you can also tell he does have feelings for Haruka
and Mishima as well as the fact that he also cares for Asahina and Qoun.

Qoun because she is so sweet and enigmatic and innocent and you want everything to turn out right for her.

Maya because you can tell wheter or not she's Ayato's mother she really cares for him and even when he disappoints her she still is willing to be there and answer his questions truthfully.

Asahina because she is one of the most normal characters in the entire series and you have to feel for her the way everything around her seems to implode and she's left confused.

Megu because she is so much a normal teen like Asahina and is just as
confused about life and relationships.

Kim because she is always there for Megu.

Mishima because she seems to know more than anyone what's going on with the RahXephon and she seems to really have a caring attitude toward
Qoun and wants to help her. :thumb:

Most definitely Haruka due to her passionate pursuit of Ayato, even at the expense of her own feelings at times. Ayato, as well, is a very complicated character, one whom I think many of us can relate to in his pursuit of the truth and wanting to find out his true identity and value (ours of course being in Christ!). I also particularly liked Megumi and Commander Kunugi due to the growth that both of them experience by the end of the show, and how things concerning their pasts have shaped so much of who they are. That's just my two cents! RahXephon is one of the few anime that I can say actually hit me on a very deep, personal level and spoke something to me in a unique and individual way. Most definitely a powerful show, and the characters most certainly are the foundation of that!

Hey, I haven't seen RahXeph. Is this any good? Does it have a lot of "content issues?"

Itsuki. Probably 'cause of the hair.

I dunno. He just seems like a really awesome character to me. And his dub voice is awesome.

Also Futagami the irritating reporter. Gotta love him.

1. Mishima Reika - I just think she's an intresting character

2. Ayato Kamina - Same as above.

3. Iishiki Makoto - What he does just makes me laugh. PlusI do that "put yout hand on the side of your face" position sometimes.

4. Haruka Shitow - Awesome alround.

5. Asahina Hiroko - Such as tragic character.

6. Kunugi Jin - Yet another awesome but tragic character.

7. Itsuki Kisaragi - He's just cool

8. Megumi Shitow - She's cute.

9. Johji Futagami - Another character I just can't help but laugh when he speaks.

10. Souichi Yagumo - He's just a intresting character.

This is one of the best mecha series EVER! :thumb:
There's a lot going on and a lot of questions about reality. The main character
Ayato Kamina is really on a quest to find out who he really is and how he
fits into the grand scheme of things.
Interesting note I was at the Dualfans forum and earlier noted that
Asahina and Megu looked strangely alike.

Yeah, there were some similarities between RahXephon and Dual... Dual rocked. I miss it.

Anyway! I guess my favorite character is Ayato. I'm not sure why exactly. Just one of those main characters that has no idea what's going on most of the time. I like the characters that have depth and grow. Yep. RahXephon is pretty. :thumb:

They have the RahXephon Bible out at Barnes & Nobles and I was looking through it and it had the ages of the main characters listed and Megu is only 14!

I just rewatched this series in subbed. I keep on forgetting how great of a series this is. Though I must say in order to get the full impact of it, you have to watch it from beginning to end in one fell swoop.

One of the things I have found out is that there is a lot going on that you don't
suspect and also people aren't what they seem to be,except for Megu and Kim
and some of the others, but mainly the characters keep surprising you.

Ayato is my favirote charecter and the series is diffently 1 of teh best mecha series ever (note that there is a hit of sexuality in it at points nothing to to bad) and if any1 could explain the ending to me that would be of much help

I think there's only about 5 or so left to go before it's done for the
time being on Anime Unleashed. The Asahina storyline is finally over. :waah!:

No still watching on AU.There's only about 26 total episodes so it's pretty much in the final round of episodes now.

I was watching this weekend, and realized, Ayato is quite the ladies' man. He's got, what, like 5 women chasing after him during the course of the show?
Theme Scripture: Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. (Galatians 5:1)

And a verse for all us single folks: Do we have no right to take along a believing wife, as do also the other apostles, the brothers of the Lord, and Cephas? (1 Corinthians 9:5)

Oh hohoho you're in for a shocking treat.

RahXephon has one of the best endings in a anime in my opinion (it's up there with Last Exile, Cowboy Bebop, and FLCL for myself).

I cheat some times. For example I already know what some of the upcoming eps.
of Inuyasha, including the series finale, are going to be like since I read the
synopsis over at Inuyasha World.(ok I do it because I'm curious).
I also found a RahXephon website that had character spoilers and read of what
happens to some of the characters already.
In any case even if I hadn't there's what, only four or so episodes left now?
btw:I found the manga at B&N and it seems the ending is a bit different from the anime or then again I have to wait to see how accurate what I read online concerning RahXephon was.

The RahXephon manga (the 3 volume manga) is incrdibly inaccurate to the anime storyline. I personally disliked it.

Well it did have a different ending from what I can tell from the description of what happens to some of the characters from the fansite I found.
off topic:I think I come closest to Qoun in personality type.
