Question about Samurai X: REFLECTION

Postby ChristianKitsune » Fri Apr 08, 2005 10:30 pm

i know that there is already a thread dedicated to this.. but i need fast answers.. lol..
I am a HUGE Rurouni Kenshin fan.. and I have seen Every episode including Samurai X trust and Betrayel.. but i have never seen Samurai X Reflections.. but i got money today.. and i was thinking about going to pick it up.. but i have a few questions:

-Is it worth my money to buy it?

-If so.. should i buy directors Cut or regular version.. because my local store has both..

Thanks in Advance!! ^_^

well, i do own reflections, and i personally recommend it, basically what it is is a movie about kenshin coming back home after a while (he goes off and stuff) and kaoru is remembering all the different main points in their life together, like when they met, various fights, that kind of thing, i really liked it, i especially liked the ending, i thought it was a very appropriate way to bring an ending to that particular storyline, as far as director's cut vs. regular, i dunno, director's cut usually has more footage in it, so if i had the choice i'd go with director's cut, especially if they're the same price

If you're that big of a fan, then it's definitely worth the money to get it. I don't know any of the differences between the two versions. I have the OVA version.

I'm 99.9% sure that the Director's Cut has
Kenshin and Kaoru's wedding
. I saw the normal version and loved it. I definitely recommend it, and I definitely want to buy the Director's Cut. It sounds like the DC is the better of the two.

WEll i took all of your advice.. and i picked it up!! I got the Directors cut.. It has a whole 38 min more of footage..and Jeikobu you were correct.. about the spoiler.. ^_^

Did anyone notice that Kenji's girlfriend is Chizuru.. the girl that was to be the original female role.. (see Rurouni Kenshin vol 1 manga for what i am talking about.. It was the lil extra story..anyways.. they are the same person!!

Also did anyone notice that when Yahiko is older he also wears the "AKU" sign? Its very small and on the back of his blue gi. near the top.. I thought this was WAY TOTALLY AWESOME!! It was a sad..yet great ending..

*cries and runs off*
Heart of Sword's Rhapsody

Money, get away
Get a good job with good pay and you're okay
And all and all you're just another brick in the wall
Shoutin’ in the street gonna take on the world some day
But Bismallah will not let me go
Because I'll see you on the dark side of the moon

Tommy used to work on the docks
Union's been on strike
Bright eyes burning like fire
And exposing every weakness
However carefully hidden by the kids

Who will love a little Sparrow
Who's traveled far and cries for rest
Spare him his life from this monstrosity

I've seen a million faces and I've rocked them all
And if the band youre in starts playing different tunes
We will we will rock you
We will we will rock you!

38 MORE MINUTES OF FOOTAGE? That's completely worth my 19.99 or whatever I'll have to pay for it. I figured the extra footage would be like Monty Python and the Holy Grail on DVD. "29 extra seconds of new footage!"
I'm a shoe-in for hater of the year.
