Action anime

i was looking 4 sum good action anime, blood and gore doesn't bother me, and as long as the other stuff (nudity/religion) is ok, im fine wit it. so ne ideas on sum good ones?

Guess that offically rules out Evangelion for ya then. Kenshin and Trigun are pretty good... FullMetal Alchemist is awesome.... really... awesome...

Well, there's always Shin Getter Robo. Now, there are two very short scenes that contain nudity, and it talks about evolution a lot. But for action, there's an insane ammount. It's nicely animated and a lot of fun.
My only qualms are the evolution aspects. Aside from that, you get lots of gore and robo fighting action. More action than plot.

I say go for Cowboy Bebop. Sure it's "mainstream" but it deserves to be.

Rurouni Kenshin, specifically the Kyoto Arc (second boxed set). I think there's a bit of buddhism in there, but nothing anti-christian. The Christian saga afterwords is a different story. It presents a more cultish version of christianity. I know some weird beliefs entered into the christian communities during the persecutions of the Tokugawa shogunate, so some of the cultish aspects may be historicly plausible, but it will seem quite bizarre or even distasteful to the modern believer. No nuddity that I recall.

Trigun is another good one. Some people have tried to make biblical connections to Trigun, but I think the show is what you make of it. One of the characters is a priest paking serious heat with a some what unpriestly attitude. I do not recall any nuddity here either.

Jubei-chan is much more of a comedy with action elements in it. There is a bit of possession, but not demonic. There is a magical girl transformation and some other parts where Jiyu isn't clothed, but everything is covered, but I wouldn't consider them fan servicey. In fact, one is just the opposite.

Cowboy Bebop has some nudity that I will explain in the spoiler...
[spoiler] In one episode, there is a male character who has had his hormones messed with by drugs and he develops breasts which are shown.
There is another scene where Faye barges in on two men in bed together, but nothing is shown. [/spoiler]
Other than that, there are some fan servicey shots of Faye.

There are like a million threads about it, so you probably already know this, but FullMetal Alchemist is an awesome anime, but the main character is an athiest at the beginning of the series, but after the first few episodes it doesn't really come up much anymore. Here are some threads about FMA:

You should try Jin-Roh. I don't remember any religious stuff, but I know there was no nudity. It does get a bit talky though, and the dub supposedly makes the plot impossible to understand.

i saw a bit of Jin-Roh at my friends house and it was pretty good

Jin-Roh is not really an action anime at all. There's only really three scenes with any kind of gunplay. It's more of a psychological thriller in my opinion. You can read my review on it in the database.

You could also check out any of the multiple Macross series out there, or Tsukikage Ran for some samurai action.

Final Fantasy Unlimited! It has some good action scenes but what really gets to me is its story. Great anime, addictive, too. I am halfway through and I can't wait to get the rest of the series. As for religion it just has some fairy-tale type magic(a lot less than even in the games) and one of the characters uses a thing called "kigen arts" which is just kind of like the force on Star Wars. As for sexual content it is pretty clean. There is also no bad language whic is definitely a plus. there is a review for it in the review section.
Pros:
Kaze (male protagonist) is really cool.
Lisa Pacifist (female protagonist) is really hot.
Has the awesome victory jingle from the games (I never get tired of hearing it. )
Has some sweet gunplay with minimal violence.
has some cool action action
Don't need to be into the games to enjoy it. (But I am anyway.)
Cons:
You may find the beggining to be kinda' slow. ( I didn't, though)

Oh, evangelion didn't bother me, and the religion only bothers me if its super anti christian, otherwise its fine, like i loved rurouni kenshin, and i got all 95 episodes for 80 dollars off of ebay

Samurai champloo has some good fights. But I havnt seen anything compared to the way the fighting in fooly cooly is done. Its still my number one choice for when I need an action buzz.
