Anime with the wiedest name

What anime do you think has the wierdest name? I think Fooly Cooly or Zoid Fuzors.

Petshop of Horrors.

I'm a fan of both the anime and the manga... it's good, it just has the most unfortunate name. It's an appropriate name to the anime, but people constantly confuse it with that movie about the giant venus flytrap "Little Shop of Horrors".

Big O. Seriously, I have a very hard time recommending it (although it's one of the best animes I've seen and I love it) because people who haven't heard of it think it's a hentai or something. People and their dirty little minds :mutter:. (Not that I, probably the only shounen ai fan around here, have any right to complain, but. . .:shady:)

Why oh why couldn't they have seen the connotations that name would have in America and named the anime something else? ^sigh^

Advent Children will make sense when the movie comes out... The subtitles of all the final fantasy games and movies(which only exist in Japanese except for the anime and the CG movie) actually make sense, as does it's primary title when you know the story behind it. First off, until FF5 (which had a sequal in anime form) all of the FF games WERE final... When they ended they ended... The "sequals" were totally self contained stories. Second, the reason it was called that was because back when FF1 was made, squaresoft was failing as a company... No one really liked their games (though I know a few "rad racer" fans out there) and so they looked at the success of "Dragon Quest" and said Before we go belly up, we should make an RPG... It was final because it was to be the company's last game. It was a fantasy because they didn't think it would go anywhere... I mean, it was intentionally opposite of Dragon Quest in many ways, and Enix had the RPG market cornered at the time... It was an unexpected success, though, and it brought the company back... They felt driven to make a sequal to it, but of course they couldn't continue on the plot of final fantasy very well, so they made an entirely new story. And they put much more focus on it, and it paved the way for modern RPG's... (though, DQ wasn't the only RPG around, I think Ultima was around then too, but that was not a Japanese game... dont' think it was american, maybe, um, Brittish?)

And Bond? That's how you identify a Bond movie even without the bond part or the 007... It SOUNDS like a bond movie if it is some common phrase that is tweaked (well, not all bond movies... Goldeneye and goldfinger for instance...) It's supposed to sound slick, just like Bond himself.

Boogiepop, I have no idea what that part is about but I think it is a refference to something... And phantom? That makes total sense.

Bubblegum crisis... Yeah, taht always sounded weird to me... I remember the first time I read the manga (before I saw the anime) and it was all dark and bloody and I'm like "Why is this called Bubblegum Crisis?" I expected something really light and fluffy and cute... BGC is none of those (Well, nene is a little light and fluffy and cute...)

How about this one???

Matantei Loki Ragnarok

I don't have a clue what this title even means! Loki = name of the main character, Ragnarok = the event that he is supposedly going to cause, as for the first word I have now clue what it is/means.
