Midori no Hibi [Days of Midori]

Hmmm...Midori no Hibi. ^^ This is one of my favorite animes of all time! I came across it a few years back when a friend of mine mentioned it was being turned into an anime. After that, I went ahead and looked up the manga and totally fell in love!

For those of you who don't know about Midori no Hibi though, here's a description of the storyline.


Seji Sawamura is trouble making punk. Everyone at his school knows him for all the fights he's been in, and have heard the rumors about his fighting fist being named the Devil's Right hand. Is this true though? Yes, but it's all misunderstood. Seji fights to protect the weak from the bad people in the world, but everyone still fears him. This fear is so bad in fact, Seji can never get what he's always longed for--a girlfriend who will understand him and love him for who he is. It isn't till one day however, this all changes...

After his 20th rejection, Seji is laying home realizing how he'll never have another friend aside from his right hand. It is then he makes a wish by saying he doesn't care who it is, just please give him a girlfriend! With that, he hears a voice asking if that's what he really wants. Startled, Seji sits up and tries to talk back, but it appears it was all in his head. It isn't till right after does Seji discover his right had has been replaced by the figure of a girl! A girl who reveals she's had a crush on him for three years!!! Now, Seji must come to terms with the girl named Midori and try and keep her a secret. Furthermore, how will he be able to protect anyone when his fighting hand has been replaced with love?!


So anyways, does anyone else here like this story? ^^ I really do and hope to find some more fans of it! (recommended for anyone who likes Kodomo no Omocha or Fruits Basket)

I want to see this show. I read it was being dubed in Newtype I think. I can't wait for the dvd. I didn't know there was a manga. Where can I get it?
