Well what do you mean by change first off? Change the name, the characters, the setting what?

I'd take the swearing out of anime. Any anime. Swearing is one of the things that keeps my parents from letting me watch anime, be it even one word. So yeah, I'd take the swearing out of Gundam Wing, Spriggan, and Rurouni Kenshin.

Also the bad religious content. I mean, none of those really need it. Okay, Spriggan kinda did. Taking out the bad religious meterial would require changing most of the story itself.

Wow Kat...that's pretty overprotective I mean you're 17 years old but anyway. There's really nothing big I would ever change about the animes I've watched because they're meant to be that way and I like them that way. Well I guess if I had to change some things it would be the few lines that make me cringe or were lost in translation.

I don't think I would change anything other than their availability. I'm interested in seeing the writer/artist's vision and some bawlderized version, even if it was done according to my own tastes (which would get a little predictable anyways).
The scientific method," Thomas Henry Huxley once wrote, "is nothing but the normal working of the human mind." That is to say, when the mind is working; that is to say further, when it is engaged in corrrecting its mistakes. Taking this point of view, we may conclude that science is not physics, biology, or chemistry—is not even a "subject"—but a moral imperative drawn from a larger narrative whose purpose is to give perspective, balance, and humility to learning.

For Sailor Moon: less (rather, make that absence of) fighting of monsters (and therefore lengthy time-wasting transformations) and more sitcom-ish hilarity. In short, make it more like Hamtaro. ^_^

Well, that's a little difficult to say because if the story were different, then it wouldn't be the same anime. I suppose you can change only so much before it becomes something completely different.

Anyway. I guess that's what anime fanfiction is there for; you get to retain the world and the characters and make a story in your own terms for them to act out. Very good treatment for anime withdrawal syndrome.

Currently, I can't think of anything I'd like to change - I've been pretty satisfied with the anime I've watched. What I'd like is to have more variety from the TV networks and shops that get to choose which series to air or to have for sale.

I would like to change the ending to Escaflowne.

A somewhat happy ending, but still I wanted a really really happy ending.

Nadesico. The whole series. It was a a bit too mediocre, and and the ending was just horrible. I would have made it a little darker, with more drama and action. And the movie... ugh... that would have to go.

Yes, that's exactly what I mean, but there's some bad religious content in some of the stories from the manga, too. But I don't care what I'd have to change as long as I got the same old Jean. -_-]Wow Kat...that's pretty overprotective I mean you're 17 years old but anyway.[/QUOTE]

Yes, I know. :shady: But once I'm out on my own, again, I'll probably get into cleaner anime with very mild language. I'm just doing this because my parents are in charge, not because I want to.

My "I would change that" moments usually involve fan service. Even you don't count the moral problems of throwing around temptation like that, fan service is pretty much always unrealistic, disrupts the flow of the story, and kills the drama of the scenes that surround it.

Because I wish to see work other than my own, I would rarely muck around in the plot. Many aspects can easily be handled by fanfiction, so I wouldn't really see any need.

However, there is one area in which I would happily alter assorted anime: filler. Naruto is an excellant anime, but at times suffers from the classic shonen filler (panning across the scene, etc). For that matter, there is some Masashi-created filler I'd like to remove as well. But meanwhile, it'd be extremely interesting to pare DBZ down to far fewer episodes.

Hmmm ... I'd want more animes to have second seasons. Heck, I'd even settle for related movies. Ah! My Goddess could have been much longer, Princess Nine could have really used a "Second Season," pardon the pun, and a feature-length Iria movie with an older version of Kei would be excellent.

Oh, and I could really do without the characters with the swirly glasses. Only Mousse seems to be able to get away with that - it just looks stupid with anyone else.

I would have liked for the Full Moon wo Sagashite anime to be a little more true to the manga.

Other than that, I don't see many anime anymore, so...

Some of the anime is so depressing and violent and i would like to take out the really bad stuff like the rated R quality in them and the demonic satanic stuff for one thing

First off, anything sexual. It never adds to the story, but if somehow it was part of the story, then change the story. And swearing, take out everything that's not used oin the bible. The F word, and the S words. An *** is another word for donkey in the bible. If it's used as an insult, take it out. *Bas*** has an actuall meaning and is i the bible, but I understand how that can be a great insult.

Violence and blood aren't much of an issue, but gore... Take out gore. THere's no real need.

REligion in like Rurouni Kenshin doesn't seem like a big deal to me, because that's just the way it is in Japan. Anyone who would make an aniome based in Japan, proably wouldnt include anything but Shintoism or buddism.

The last thing would be the American name changes. In yugio Tea is Mazaki Anzu, Tristin is Honda Hiroto, and Joey is Jonouchi Katsuya. In Shaman king, Trey is Horo Horo, the short little kid with the round head that's always around yoh, is Manta... I dont remember the last name. its irritating when companies change the music and sound fx

I'd like to take out all of the messiah stuff in Sailor Moon. I also would make SuperS much better. )Something like the supers musical plot would have been better.) I'd also take the bad religion stuff out of anime. THIS IS WHY I LOVE FANFICTION! By the way the violence in Sailor Moon isn't much it just centers around a lot of dodging and energy attacks. It's only bad at serious moments.
