Summer 2011 Anime Season

Yes, I managed to get my mitts on a partial list of the upcoming Summer 2011 anime.

So what are we looking at so far? Please note- I'm paraphrasing the descriptions. It might sound better (or worse) on the actual chart.

Appleseed XIII - Aparently, it's a remake of the last two movies, NOT a sequel, following the ESWAT member Deunan and her cyborg companion Briareos after WWV.

Baka to Test 2nd Season - Gonna be Captain Obvious, it's the second season to Baka to Test. More card fights and adventures in the placement exam world.

Natsume Yuujinchou San - If you loved the first two seasons, you'll also want to be seeing this! More adventures of the spirit-seeing and -helping Natsume.

Usagi Drop - A 30-year-old single man discovers his grandfather had an illigitimate child. He takes her in when no one else in the family will. NoitaminA, so we can have high expectations! (also, it's a fabulous manga. Just sayin'.)

No. 6 - 6 is a future model city in 2013. On the night of a boy named Shion's brithday, Shion rescues a boy who's run away from the Special Security Area.

Nekogami Yaoyorozu - A guy running an antiques store has a cat goddess living off of him. Hijinks involving other gods and spirits ensues.

Dantalian no Shoka - Hugh Disward inherits his grandfather's house. In the basement is a girl, a portal to the forbidden library of demon's books.

Blood-C - A new story following the vampires of the Blood series (Blood: The Last Vampire, and Blood+). Done by CLAMP. Apparently, this description may be subject to change.

BLADE - An adaptation of the Blade graphic novels

Ikoku Meiro no Croisee - A Japanese girl and a French man go to France, where she decides to help in his family's shop. In the 1800's.

Kamisama Dolls - Kyouhei and his friend find a dead body. He's told that an old friend and his doll are responsible.

Sacred Seven - Some sort of action anime.

R-15 - A student with a talent for pornographic art enrolls in a school for geniuses.

Manyuu Hikenchou - Women with big breasts rule the world. Someone steals the scroll with the secret of their breasts, to fight against them.

Uta no Prince-Sama - Adapted from a PSP game. Girl goes to acting school with cute guys.

Tantei Opera Milky Holmes Special - A special for the original series.

Blood-C - A new story following the vampires of the Blood series (Blood: The Last Vampire, and Blood+). Done by CLAMP. Apparently, this description may be subject to change.

This could be either really cool, or really weird. I hope the art style isn't anything like xxxholic ^^; Either way, Blood+ is one of my favorite series, so I look forward to more information on this anime.

^ It could be. I admit, it would be strange to see CLAMP designs on it- I'm used to how verything looks in Blood+ and Blood: The Last Vampire, myself. I'm not sure I see those vampire designs meshing with CLAMP's art style myself.

I will totally admit, Usagi Drop is my top pick for the summer anime. I'm a huge fan of the manga. It's sweet, endearing, seems decently realistic. I'm wondering how much of the manga they're adapting, since you have two arcs- the arc where she's six, and the arc where she's a teen.

No. 6 and Dantalian are my other pics for the summer, so far.
