Vampire Knight to be animated!

For those of you who are really turned off by vampire movies... I am sorry if this announcement bugs you! ^^; I really stayed away from the manga for a looong time, until my friends told me there really isn't anything occultish in it. So that's why I gave it a chance. And I really like it! ^^; I know others here on CAA do too, so thats why I shared this information. ^^;

For those of you who like this series, I hope this news makes you happy! ^_^ I sure makes me happy.

Below is a personal viewpoint I have on the series, it doesn't really have spoilers in it, just an opinion I have:


that said, there are things that I don't like about VK that I hope aren't delved more into in the manga, and the anime. I hope the manga will remain, something I can enjoy... after reading a few scanlations...I am a bit concerned, but I am optimistic that it will be okay.

I will watch for the pretty art~ And because I haven't heard of any other good stuff coming out anytime soon.

But there's only so much vampire story that I can take before I smash my head into the wall.

That's pretty cool, I do like the manga..but just like you said there are a few things I hope they don't take any farther.

I was really excited to hear this too! I'm going to guess though that since the manga is still ongoing that we are going to get 26 episodes of something without a real ending (like Ouran Host Club). The one thing that has me a bit worried is that I LOVE the drawing style in Vampire Knight so they will have to do a really good job on it to make the anime not look lame in comparision in my eyes. >_>

It's very difficult to do a summary of this series but the basic idea is this: At a special boarding school there is a day class and a night class. The Night class only comes out at night and it is filled with popular (and beautiful) people who have tons of fans among the day class members. What the day class doesn't know though is that the Night class is all vampires.

The two guardians of the school are Zero (a dude) and Yukki (I think I just spelled her name wrong), and there job is supposed to be to protect the day class from the night class and to some exted protect the night class from their rabid fans. ^^;; Kaname is the leader of the Night class and he is basically royalty amoung the vampire race as a whole, however he has some back history with Yukki that starts to show up more and more.

It's not a happy school drama and it's actually starting to get very dark with some questionable things being brought up. I'm guessing the anime is just going to stick with the first few volumes though so that dark stuff shouldn't show up as much.
