Be Intolerant

Postby Lengai » Sat Jul 31, 2004 3:46 pm

Because some things are just plain stupid.

Our genertation is being destroyed by maniac tolerance.

Somebody's cheating at school? "Well, that's his buisness."

Your roomate wants an abortion? "I wouldn't do it, but hey, it's her life."

Accepting everything means you believe in nothing. When it comes down to right and wrong, sitting in the fence won't get you-or the people you love-anywhere. Passiveness is not love. Love is getting in people's faces and telling them the truth.

Finally, someone has the courage to point out that some ideas are simply stupid. Honest and unflinching, Ryan Dobson will show you how to back up your beliefs and be intolerant-in love.

This is a great book. It's short, but great down to the punctuation mark. You can find it at a Christian Bookstore.

hah....truth such as that would wound the politicly correct masses ears...I on the other hand am a narrow minded Zelot, so I'm fine.
With your doubt, all is comfort
We are all as we appear
No more questions left unanswered
No more wonder, no more fear
Nothing is beauty, nothing's feeling
Blood where there once was a soul
So I ask you, prove yourself
Make me believe that you are whole

lol I got that book for christmas I asked my mum for it and she gave me the funniest look because she already thinks I am way too intolerant (she tells me to keep an open mind and I tell her that if my mind is too open my brain will fall out). Very nice read.

I first bought this book while paying for a purchase in the local Christian bookstore. The title was really interesting and I bought it straight away. "Be Intolerant Coz some things are just S-T-U-P-I-D." For once, I support the use of this word.

After reading it, it left me very convicted with the way I've always sat on the fence and avoided confrontations. Up to this day, I hang on dearly to this book to remind myself to stand firmly on my beliefs. I couldn't agree more with many things the author said. Highly recommended.

But don't forget to balance this intolerance with love and respect as well. Does my last statement make sense?

One of the reviews on there solidifies why I should get this.
inane review on amazon wrote:He acts all holy in the book and in person, I could tell him from satan apart.

Hahahaha! Man. I got so offended by people insulting my faith until just tonight. Even reading the more convincing arguments against the truth, I realise that Satan is just holding on really tight... He needs to fight everything, but he's not going to succeed where it really counts.

I wanted to write a book sorta like this. This is great! Of course, I'm sure I'll disagree with him on some issues (I mean, it's James Dobson's son...) But I'll definately be reading this.

This may or may not be necessary, but let me say that you should avoid arguing the issues here. So far everyone seems to agree, so there isn't really a problem. We can only hope that it remains that way.

Myself, I agree with the concept, though I cannot support the book without reading it and do not feel motivated enough to do so.

I bought this book and Langai read it after me. I recently was on a message board where I was called intorlerant for not accepting homosexuality as a right. I didn't know how to respond. I saw an add for this book and bought it. Very, very good points and how to be intolerant with love. Love the sinner, hate the sin.
