I'm supposed to make a Christmas Card for my Spanish class project. However, I'm not sure if I translated this correctly. And my only Spanish friend doesn't seem to want to sign on today... :shady:

Anywho, can someone tell me if this is correct?

¡Feliz Navidad!
Mientras nosotros desempaquetamos nuestros regalos…
Debemos recordamos la razón verdadera.
¡Tengo esperanzas de una muy Feliz Navidad!

It is supposed to say:
Merry Christmas!
While we unwrap our presents…
We must remember the true reason for the season.
I hope for a very Happy Christmas!

¡Por favor y gracias! :thumb:

Well, I'm only in Spanish 1 so I don't know much Spanish yet, but I checked around at some different online translation sites and it seems like most of them thought you were trying to say this:

"Merry Christmas! While we unpack our gifts… we should recall the true reason. I have hopes of a very merry Christmas!"

If it's accurate, it's pretty close to what you wanted to say.

Thanks, I'll go with it as is then. After all, being somewhere in the realm of correct works for me since our vocabulary is still small in this class. *is in Spanish 1 too*
