Eek, I'm doing book reports at the moment too. -_-' . I'm not sure if this will help you or not, but as I'm in an older grade maybe these could help you (they're notes my teacher gave me on writing three-quarters of a page book reports).
What I'm supposed to include in my reports are:
"Content needs to have substance" (so don't do big long sentences about nothing, though it's a technique I've used before...
)
"Good textual references" (include quite a few quotes)
"Personal response involving some evaluation of the text" (what did you think about the story? Did it stink? Was it great? Why did you think it was good/bad?)
"What did it make you think about?" (Maybe if you were reading a novel about a dog, it made you think of an old pet you used to have. Or maybe one of the characters reminded you of someone. Or maybe it got you thinking about cruelty to people or others, etc)
"Relate these things to your own experiences and why" (if it's a story about someone getting lost, did you ever get lost? etc. Not really sure if I understand the 'and why' though. o_O)
"How do I feel about the ideas?" (if, for example, your book seems to take a stand that killing is totally justified, do you agree or not agree with that idea? What do you think of the ideas in the book? Are they right or wrong?)
"Include textual detail" (not really sure what they mean by that. Maybe you could comment on the writing style, whether it was boring because it was aimed for really young kids, or whether it was a challenging read because it was aimed for an older audience etc).
Hope these notes help! Oh, and some more things you could talk about in your report:
What are the themes in your book? (Good vs evil, love overcomes all, etc).
Did you really like a paragraph or two? Quote it, and say what you liked.
