This is for if you want to start an RP, but want to be sure if enough people are interested in it.

That being said, is anyone interested in a steampunk/fantasy/post-apocalyptic egg hatching RP?

Or a Transformers RP?

Transformers, huh. What did you have in mind for that one?

It really depends on which series people were more interested in, which is either the Transformers cartoon (the one with Sari in it), or Transfirmers Prime. I never liked the movies much.

Animated I could deal with, but Prime? Eh... not my cup of energon.


If you want to make it easy, you can use G1 (and by extension, all the following Japanese series) as a base. Heck, even R.i.D. or Armada would be a good continuity, as they both had pretty open-ended conclusions, R.i.D. in particular. (That horrid Energon series never happened.)

For more dedicated players, how about this:

A structured RP with an in-game timer, predetermined events, and in-depth roles? During the game, characters must react to events, using knowledge and resources provided by their role. Depending on how they react, they move along in the story...or not. Yeah, it's a game where characters die and can't come back. Not that that's a guarantee, but it would certainly be possible. It's also stricter about posts. For example, there's no OOC posting allowed. Actions must also reasonably fit within the timer. Tentatively set in a future city fighting against...something, there will be a story, I swear. Right now, there aren't many details worked out, so this is just a post to see who's interested.

Sounds interesting. How are you planning to manage the timer?

Was thinking a set timer, like one real day equals one in-game hour. Not quite so slow, but you get the idea, so I'm just using that conversion. People post within that day, and their actions must reasonably fit within that one hour. Events take place at a certain point in the timer, so a GM posts when that happens.
We're still hammering out the details, like I said, so it probably won't be as crude as it is now.

Anyone want to try a fictional "Angels v.s. Demons"-type RP? I've always been hesitant to ask, because of the board's nature, but... yeah. Like I said, fictional. The theme is pretty obvious: good against evil, with the players being the good guys. Probably short-term, considering how much I have going on IRL right now. Anyone who has questions or wants to join can PM me, I suppose.
