It occurred to me today that my bio in this forum is 5+ years old. Practically nothing I wrote way back when still holds true today.
However, rather than make a totally new edition, I figured I would just open it up for you guys: what do you want to know about me?

What's your favorite animal?
Hmmmm....probably kittens. I'm very much a cat person.
Besides Tanemura, what other anime do you enjoy?
Oh, let's see here. Recently I've enjoyed Ouran High School Host Club, Kanon, Honey and Clover....as for some older titles, Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, Fruits Basket, Gundam Wing....hmmm...that may be just about all my top-list picks I can think of right now. I've never seen Sailor Moon, but it's at the top of my I-would-like-to-see-soon list. XD
What's your favorite color?
Blue!
Have you ever been to an anime convention? do you ever plan to go to one?
Yes, I have. I hosted a panel with Keely on being a Christian anime fan at Oni-Con 2005 in Houston. They're okay, but not my favorite way to blow several hundred dollars. I may, however, be at Anime Expo 2008.
Favorite voice actor?
Vic. *laughs* Actually I've never heard him, I just know that's what everyone wants me to say. As for who I've actually heard, hmm...I'm pretty fond of Kirby Morrow.
What do you enjoy best about being the webmistress of CAA?
Ninja mode. XD I think I like knowing that I've actually done something worthwhile with my life, and all the very nice PMs I get.
What's your favorite Bible Verse?
1 Timothy 4:12 - "Let no one despise you because you are young; instead, be an example to believers everywhere in speech, life, faith, purity, and love."
Can you share your testimony?
Oh, goodness. That's a long story. Well, I grew up in a Christian (Baptist) home; both my parents are Christians and we always went to church. I made a profession of faith and was baptized when I was 4, however I don't really remember it.
I was always your goody-two-shoe-type girl--I never rebelled against my parents or did anything crazy like that. But I was deathly afraid of hell and afraid I wasn't good enough to not go there.
Around 13-14, though, I really began to question things. How do I KNOW that this is the only way of salvation? If I were a Buddhist, would I believe in Buddhism as strongly as I believed in Christianity? After all, it was all I had ever known...I was not someone who had been 15/16/17 when they came to Christ.
I went on a youth retreat that year that really changed me. I remember reading a passage in Deuteronomy of all places that encouraged me to seek the Lord whole-heartedly. For the first time in my life, I felt Scripture "come alive"--that's cheesy, but it's the only way I can describe it.
That night I rededicated my life to Christ and promised to follow as hard as I could after Him. I started praying/reading my Bible regularly and by the time I was in college, I felt God was asking me to go to the mission field. I'm currently studying to be a missionary to Japan. =3
Thanks for the great questions!

What do you think of the Harry Potter debate?
Who are your favorite anime creators?

What do you think of the Harry Potter debate?
I think it's a mixed bag. On the one hand, parents should have an active part of their children's lives, and they should be prayerfully considering what their children read/watch/etc. But on the other hand, some of the justifications I've heard against the series (and against fantasy in general, many of the same were leveled at Pokemon) are just plain silly. I think it stems from a difficulty in walking a good path as a parent and protecting your kids from harmful influences, and being paranoid/teaching them to live in a Christian bubble.
Personally, I don't really care for Harry Potter and have little if any desire to read/watch the series.
Who are your favorite anime creators?
Creators, as in.....? Manga-ka? Or studios?

Who are your favorite anime creators (pt. 2)
Hmm, well, I really like Bones and ....oh, I can't think of the name, but the studio that did Honey + Clover and the new Kanon that came out.
Manga wise, it should be obvious who I like best. ^^;;
What do you think of C. S. Lewis?
I absolutely adore him. Easily my favorite author, and I've read most of his works (academic and otherwise). My favorite has to be Til We Have Faces--it's a tragedy more people don't recognize its brilliance.

Well, in its smallest form I really just wanted to see if there was anyone else like me. When I found there was, things really just grew from there! There's a whole history of CAA thread in the general forum, if you want to read more about it.

Hey look! It's the monthly "how did CAA get started?" thread! Nah, I'm just messing with you, HNT.
You might wanna read this therad, though:

You know, Ash, I just went through there and read that again... That history is getting a little long in the tooth. You might wanna think about re-writting it to include things like our new mods, etc. Maybe we should drag out the historic logs and compare notes.

I was the one that founded it. As such, I was de facto made an administrator. ^^

Yeah, I guess you're right....it HAS been a while. Hmm....perhaps something to investigate after Easter (if I remember!)

My apologies everyone! I was on Easter vacation in Missouri and didn't get to these sooner. But thanks for all the great questions!
Let say you going on to a cruise and the ship accidently hit a iceberg and you are on a life boat with various with various backgrounds people however the life boat is over weight it can only carries let say 12 people and some people are hurts and you need to decide from the group of 20 people which one to let go so how would you decide that?
Wow, what a tough question! I'd say the way I'd do it is this: first off I would give up my own life jacket. There's no way to ask others to do what you yourself are not willing to. Then I would ask the group for all the Christians to step forward...and I would ask them as their sister in Christ to consider this an opportunity to minister to the unbelievers by sacrificing for them the way Christ sacrificed for us. Besides, if we die, we all go to heaven...if they die, they go to hell! Hopefully the others would be so moved by this they would become Christians too, then everybody lives! Hurray!
Do you have an pets? What are there names?
I have one dog at home, a miniature black schnauzer named Heidi. She's just over a year old, and is very cute, but she smells quite bad.
What other habies/intrests do you have bessides anime/Manga?
Oh, let's see....I really like to read. Fiction's my favorite genre, and I'm pretty loose with what authors/genres beyond that I'll read. I generally like a lot of movies, volleyball, tennis, sewing/knitting, and cooking/baking. I dabble in art occasionally, but it's not my forte any more, though I adore going to art museums.
For that matter what is your favoret manga?
Ack, another tough one! I guess I have to be true to myself and answer Tanemura style: Full Moon wo Sagashite. Not only is the art incredible, the series is at a good length (not too short, not too long), and the characters were really, really well done.
What is your favoret Japenies(spell?) dish?
Despite my intentions to live there someday, I haven't had a lot of Japanese food. My boyfriend and I occasionally go out for sushi, and my favorite is the philadelphia roll. So I guess that or tempura ice cream would be considered my favorite!
What is the worst anime you have ever watched?
I used to absolutely despise Rurouni Kenshin. Once I got past the first few episodes, it was good. Oh, the Escaflowne movie. Boy was that a horrible piece of trout I never want to watch again.
Who are your favorite contemporary Christian artists, and out of those you list, which ones have you seen in concert?
Hmm...you know, I tend to like songs over bands, so I'll have to be a bit discriminating in my list. THe Newsboys, Rebecca St. James, Michael W. Smith, and Sanctus Real (are they considered contemporary?) would all top my list. Out of that group, I have seen the Newsboys 3 times (sadly I'm going to miss their concert next weekend! Wah!) and MWS twice in concert.
What is the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow?
Is it African or European?
If you had to choose between a hollow chocolate bunny and marshmallow easter egg, which would you choose?
Give me the chocolate! Even if it's hollow, I'm not a big fan of marshmallows.
What's your favorite movie?
Memoirs of a Geisha
if you could visit anyplace in the world, where would you go?
I'm tempted to answer Japan, but well, I plan on living there in a few years. So outside of that, I would really like to see the Bahamas, or Greece. Scotland would be lots of fun too, considering my descent.

Okay, I have a question for ya:
What would you do if you were driving along down the street and a black guy, about 20-ish pulls along side you driving a black 1993 Acura Legend, blasting the "Evangelion" theme song?

If I were her, I'd open my windows and play some Rap music.

I would say, "hey, are you wearing blue socks?" XD
Actually, in all truthfulness I probably wouldn't notice. Being from Houston, I'm used to hearing loud music from the car next to me, and I wouldn't know the Evangelion song if it hit me in the face. So I'm sorry to say I would not have a profound moment.

Do you have any siblings?
Do you have (or previously had) a role at your church, eg. Bible reader, musician, youth leader, etc?

I would pray for him. Immensely.
Where is the most interesting place you've been (or several if you can't decide)?
Probably Go Sou, Taiwan. The culture there is so incredibly different from America I spent the entire time oscillating between culture shock and amazement. Although Germany was pretty incredible, too.
Do you have any siblings?
I do indeed. I am the eldest of our brood, with a younger brother (17) and sister (15).
Do you have (or previously had) a role at your church, eg. Bible reader, musician, youth leader, etc?
My ministerial career has been quite long and varied, actually. I have served, in no particular order, as preschool assistant, Goliath impersonator, VBS teacher, camerawoman, youth counselor, Sunday school teacher, youth intern, and preschool worker. Currently I'm employed in the last role and when I go home this summer, I hope to teach a class on theology 101 for new believers.

What's your opinion of lycans?
Actually, I had to look this up because I had never heard of a lycan. My conclusion is they are not something I'd want to bump into in an alley, day OR night.
What is your favorite radio station?
Hard to say. I spend my year divided between Fort Worth and Houston (about 5 hours apart) so I rarely listen to one radio station non-stop. Still, if I had to buckle down a favorite, I think I would say
89.7 Power FM: The Christian Rock Station.
If you could learn any foreign language, what would it be
Considering my deep desire for Japanese missions, probably Japanese. I can speak it a little bit, but I'm practically illiterate at the moment and my school schedule just does not allow for any additional study.
Have you ever known someone or known someone who knew someone who was healed in a miraculous or unexpected way? If so, then please tell about it and also your reaction as you found out.
Yes I have. My mother is a nurse, and she has told me many stories of unexplained healings in her ER. One in particular that stands out was a man from Kentucky who had some severe blockage in his heart. He was not expected to even make it to the OR. My mom offered to pray with the wife, and they did. It wasn't a flashy, powerful prayer, nor was it spoken in tongues or anything like that. Just a simple, "please God help so-and-so" kind of prayer. The doctor didn't like the scans he had been given, so he reordered some scans for this man after their prayer. When they came back, there was absolutely no blockage to speak of, and the man was released. Last we heard he is doing just fine.
As to my reaction, I was of course a bit surprised but more than anything filled with a desire to worship and glorify God, who though He has created the very heavens by His word alone sees fit to care for us small humans. His love and compassion in these situations is unfathomably deep, and I think that should be at least a component of every Christian's response to healing.
