I have been unfortunate enough to have never seen the musical before, and that's terrible. XD As of now, I've only heard a variety of songs from it, and I've seen the film with Liam Neeson and Geoffrey Rush. I've also read about 1/5 of the book. XD

Good news though! Tom Hooper, the director of this year's Best Picture winner, The King's Speech, is apparently working on another film version of Les Mis! Whether or not it'll be a film version of the musical has yet to be determined, but oh my goodness I hope it is. XD

I should have gone to see it when I was in London. I went to see the Royal Ballet instead. I attempted reading the book, but it was.... heavy reading, and I haven't had another opportunity to see the musical since London.

Though I plan on giving it another attempt this summer! It deserves it!

Like Radical, the only production I've seen was the '98 film. But it was wonderful (Rush was amazing, as usual).

Saw the musical on PBS during a pledge drive. Loved it and the book.

I like the musical (despite not being much of a fan of musicals), the book is monumental, and I enjoy listening to the French soundtrack.

Anybody have a favorite character? Personally, I think Enjolras is pretty awesome--although I disagree with his methods, I admire his leadership and singleminded devotion to his cause.

I. Am. Also. Obsessed with this musical! ^_^; Malecdite recommended it to me a few months back, and I ended up buying the 25th anniversary CD of the musical. (I believe it's the entire thing, I mean gosh, it's like two and a half hours long on two discs.)

I really like John Owen Jones as Valjean....his voice...his voiiiiice X3.

Although I have also seen the 10th anniverssary concert version of it and liked that Valjean too...and the Javert.

I have so many favorite songs from this musical and I hope to see it! It's coming to Denver this summer I totally would drive 4 hours to see it *D*

I want to see the musical but I'm not sure how to go about doing it. I had a CD of the songs (my husband is a big fan) but I don't know where it disappeared to, and it's hard to enjoy them without context.

I'm almost done with the novel, though.

I read the novel in high school, then learned of the film. I was disappointed by it, but I'll admit it does have some good points, particularly Geoffrey Rush and Liam Neeson.

To see the musical in person. You just the money and be ready to drop it at first sight you see it touring the city that you love or near it.

I tired to get tickets for Chicago showing, since Rebecca loves this musical. But the cheapest price for tickets were $100 a piece and it sold out with a week of tickets going on sell.

I saw Les Mis when it came to Houston (it was either '04 or '05, can't remember) with the Honors Program at my university (only paid $5 --show and dinner included!)

It is my favorite musical! Such a beautiful story.

I hope to be able to see it again.
"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

*is a Javert addict, book and musical* particularly Philip Quast's performance. You know he's good when just about everyone copies him.
