I wish to politely disagree with this, because I don't think it does the character or the story justice at all.

[spoiler] There is no firm proof in any of the movies that Darth Vader was good all along. I mean, the dude killed people mercilessly and cut off his own son's arm.
But, he did turn to the light side in the end, therefore, a more accurate description would be, Darth Vader has a heart. [/spoiler]
