How many DVDs do you own?

Postby ShiroiHikari » Mon Jun 19, 2006 4:39 pm

Well, today I got really bored. So I made a list of all our DVDs. We own a lot more than I thought we did, the total being somewhere around 183.

This is a list of all of them.

So what about you guys? What DVDs do you have in your collection?

There's an amazing lack of anime in your collection.

As for me, more than anyone has any right owning. It is 82% anime, though.

I know; anime is expensive and I hardly ever watch or buy any because of that. To a cheapskate like me, 25 bucks is far too much for one disc.

Part of the reason we have so many dang DVDs is because we buy them used a lot. We end up paying 5-10 dollars for a movie instead of 15-20.

Also, before anyone says anything, the reason why there are DVDs I haven't watched is because this collection belongs to more than one person, and those particular movies are of no interest to me. On the other hand, there are some DVDs in there I bought for myself that nobody else watches. XD

I think I mis-spoke anyways. Looking at other people's collections, you don't have as much of a lack as I would though.

Well, here's my family's (meger) collection...from what I can do from memory. (I'm at school right now. XD But not in class! I'm a good girl!...mostly). Almost all of these are owned by me, actually....XD

Star Wars "Original" Trilogy (IE, the special edition box set that doesn't have the actual 'original' version of the trilogy with it)
Beauty and the Beast
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
Princess Tutu vols 1-6
Fruits Basket vol 1
Howl's Moving Castle
Two or three Frank Capra movies
Some Jimmy Stewart movie I got for my dad for a buck (I can't remember which one it is...not one of the famous ones)
LOTR: FOTR Theatrical
LOTR: FOTR Extended Cut
LOTR: TTT Extended Cut
(Yes, I don't have either version of ROTK yet. I know, it's horrible.)
Pirates of the Carribean: Curse of the Black Pearl
And....that's all I can remember at the moment.
