That makes sense. Much sense.

I wasn't allowed to either and you still see an episode or two in your life time... XD

And anime is always superior.

I'm 98% sure your post was sarcastic, but I still feel the need to further contribute to your sarcasm.

Clearly, the one that is anime is the better show.

The list of American cartoons I don't like is long, so I won't bother posting them. I do want to point out that, just like anime, different studios put more effort into their work than others, yeilding mixed results. Shows like Batman: TAS, Jem, Animaniacs, and Justice League showed themselves to be high quality shows in their genre. Then you have shows such as Superfriends, Mr. T (yes, if you want to see 'bad', watch that shows opening sequence), Chuck Norris: Karate Kommandos, and New Kids on the Block (yes, they got a cartoon).

I am not sure what foreign dictatorship you call home, Etoh, but here in America the 90s was an awesome era for cartoons.

Wait wait wait wait a second. Wait just a second.

80s: He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, Robotech, Transformers, G.I. Joe, Garfield and Friends, David the Gnome, Chip & Dale's Rescue Rangers, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Real Ghostbusters, Little Bits, Muppet Babies

Which era was the golden era of horrible cartoons again? Not the 80s, that's for sure.

Says the guy who listed Muppet Babies as a reason for the 80's not sucking.

Where do the Smurfs fall - pro or con for the 80's?

I know I'm betraying little 3 year old Etoh when I say this, but Smurfs definitely fall on Con.

The Smurfs, eww. Definitely a con. >_>

I like the 80s, but the cartoons back then were just bad. But I think we already had this discussion recently. The 90s definitely had better cartoons. And the 70s were probably worse than the 80s. So at least we saw some progress for a while. I think in this decade, we've seen entertaiment mostly regress. XD

South Park had too many genius moments to be on the 'worst list'. Although the rest of the moments qualify it for the 'generally bad' list.

Anything done for AS. I can't think of a single true AS title (i.e. original AS material) that I would consider 'good.' I only watch it when they have some anime on.

I also can't think of anything else that has quite the same degree of vacuum. I'm astonished at this, considering the number of very horrible things out there, but frankly, even 'The Smurfs' was high art in comparison. 'Every title by AS' will have to be my vote.

I'm pretty sure ST2M was quoting these as proof that the 90's weren't entirely bad. I happen to consider most of them to be very good, myself. Ren & Stimpy, especially.

ST2M: Earthworm Jim is getting new episodes! (There's another thread here on CAA to that effect.)
May the Lord bless you and keep you.
May He cause His face to shine upon you.
May He lift up His countenance and grant you peace.

Maokun: Ninjas or Pirates? (Vikings are not a valid answer, sorry)

EricTheFred: Vikings are always a valid answer.

The funny Sonic the hedgehog was awful. The dramatic one rocked several pairs of socks and even a pair of boxers.

Oh no, this thread is hilarious. Where was I in the 90s? Oh yeh, rocking on my island home, reading books.
Hey--I liked the Smurfs...well, that one bad dude that wanted to kill them.

Affirmative. Hrm...I would say 50%-65% of the things on Jetix IMHO. I'm sorry, the honesty was burning in the depths of my stomach.

I like SRMTH and W.I.T.C.H. (they don't show new episodes of that as far as I know. Go figure.)

You know what? I take it back.

I take it all back.

Over the past few days, I have been subjected to a show I can only describe as being real, true

DEEP HURTING.

Insanity, thy name is The Replacements.

This show has no good qualities whatsoever. The animation is ugly. The jokes are bad ("HEY LETS SAY THIS SILLY PHRASE OVER AND OVER AND OVER! IT'S FUNNY!! IT WORKED FOR TOM GREEN, RIGHT???...right?...wait...") To call the characters "cookie-cutter" would be an insult to cookie-cutters everywhere. In fact, I apologize right now to any cookie-cutters reading this now. You didn't deserve to so much as be mentioned in the same paragraph as this show.

The stories are more boring than a Yanni album. The voices are driving me mad. Mad, mad, MAD!

And it is ALWAYS FRIGGING ON. ALWAYS.

Oh, frick. It's on now.
