Typical Critics!! (You know they only pay out movies because they weren't good enough to make it themselves so they dish everything out of hatred).

I agree that the reviewers made alot of mistakes...

but factual mistakes (like what game the characters are from) really don't say anything about the validity of their opinion. come on. they have a right to say the movie was crap. and, let's face it, RE is NOT what you'd call a great piece of cinema (I loved it though, btw). You just have to accept the fact that most critics don't like this kind of movie, and that many of the main arguments against the RE movies (silly lines, pointless violence, nonsensical/unrealistic elements, the same silly one-upmanship that plagued almost every action movie after the Matrix) are prefectly valid. I liked the first RE because it was such a cheesy, gratuitous movie (incidentally, that's also why I liked Battle Royale I and II). I don't expect others to like it - frankly, it sucked on most levels - but the box office numbers show that a lot of people did like it, despite reviewers' spiel.

Everyone's got their own tastes. When I went to see Spider-Man 2 I was like, "Awesome! Four stars!" The stupid reviewer in the Richmond Times Dispatch gave it one and a half stars. One and a half! Can ya believe it?!

I bet he probably gave Apocalypse a half a star. He probably even hated Hero! All he probably likes is sappy artsy foreign crap. Well, I wasn't going to see RE: Apocalypse before, but now I WILL go see it to spite the reviewers!

So, would you recommend seeing this movie?

I know exactly what you mean. The film reviewer for our local paper doesn't seem to like anything but IMAX films. She gave LotR: The Two Towers 2 1/2 out of 5, and some IMAX thing about insects got 4. She should be fired or force-fed Tabasco sauce or something.

By the way, am I the only one who thought Tomb Raider was good? I remember it came out around my 20th birthday. Some friends and I were gonna go see Swordfish (I had seen it once already with my dad and, though I didn't much care for it, I was willing to give it another chance), but since none of us were old enough to get into an R movie, we saw Tomb Raider instead. My friends (who aren't as avid gamers as I am) didn't seem to like TR much, but I thought it was better than Swordfish.

All those reviewers should be fired. I loved Resident Evil: Apocalypse. I wouldn't mind them saying the movie was bad if they could get their facts straight.

p.s. RE2 blew the first one away! Second best zombie movie in existence. Second only to Dawn of the Dead.

I think the director of this movie was way better than the other director. The old one sucked, cause in every movie he did, he called off every character in the first thirty minutes.

Heh. Swordfish. I think the ONLY reason anyone went to see Swordfish was because of Halle Berry's naked breasts. But I admit, the scene at the beginning with the "human claymore" rocked! The rest of the movie, I didn't care for.

I personally didn't care for Tomb Raider. I thought the storyline wasn't that good, and the action was only so-so. Then again, I'm not a big Angelina Jolie fan, and that is why I refuse to go see Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow. I think it looks like a good movie, but I think Jolie was a poor choice of casting. But I did like her in Original Sin.
