Supernatural

Forgive me if there's another thread about this show, I went hunting around for one and couldn't find it.

I've had friends who've been members of this show's somewhat obsessive fanbase for quite some time, so I haven't really had an urge to watch it. But I recently found it and started watching it (I'm about halfway through season 2) and I have to say that I really like this show. It's creepy, to be sure, but I love the chemistry and dialogue between the two main characters (Sam and Dean Winchester, who hunt for evil supernatural creatures).

Anybody else watch this show?

I did. For about three episodes.

Everything was solved with a gun.

I wasn't impressed.

But I compare it to my supernatural chick-lit. It may be kinda cheezy, and someone's not going to like it. But those who can enjoy it should.

I watched up to around season 4 and then just kind of lost interest in it. As a warning, it dives pretty deep into angels and God in season 4 and not in a very flattering light at times. It might get better, but I don't really know.
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

I watched the first two seasons or so. It sort of fell apart later on, I feel, but I got much busier with life into season three so it was also harder to keep up. I just don't enjoy it anymore, it got too...twisted, I guess. =/

Also, it was extremely distracting because Sam's actor played Dean on Gilmore Girls, and as a longtime fan of that, anytime I heard the name "Dean" I would instantly think they were talking to Sam and not Dean....ugh. So confusing all throughout season one! T__T

I watched up until halfway through season too a couple years ago, but then curiousity got to me and I Read up on further seasons. Much to my dismay. I'm not pleased at the way they reflect God or Angels in this series, nor how some of the characters get sent to hell only to come back to life...

I decided that this wasn't really worth my time. But the anime looks pretty at least...hahah.

I was pretty addicted to this show. Watched it when it first air and was hooked. To be honest, I love stories scary stories, and I also love stories about demon hunting for some reason. The first 3 seasons were good, but the occultic content kept bothering me, but I pushed it out of my mind and kept watching....until season 4. At that point, it was too much for me, and I actually promised God never to watch it again (that includes any form of it, like the anime which almost got me into it again).

I'm not sure how the series is doing so far, since I quit somewhere in Season 4 due to how they depicted angels, so I don't know if it's gotten better or worse. So just a word of warning that the "bad religious" content is fairly really high.
