Yeah, sorry, I didn't like it, although, that could have more to do with the fact that there are very few war movies I do enjoy, than anything else.

It has several haunting aspects to it; it certainly is a movie that is hard to forget, and I always value that quality. Yet I'm not crazy about it.

It's pretty average, although the opening combat scene is pretty good. The book it is based upon (from which the film deviates considerably) is much, much better.
