I saw the directors cut and aside from one or two scenes, the regular version was better. My memory is a little rusty but I would have called myself an expert on this movie at one time =P Haven't seen it in years though.
I don't know if there was any real reason why a rabbit I just thought the director was inspired by Harvey (Old Jimmy Stewart movie who talks to an imaginary 6ft bunny rabbit) and maybe to some extent Alice in Wonderland (both rabbits talk about the time).
Anyway, this is a good thread. I like a lot of movies like this IF there is ACTUALLY an explanation that makes sense if you watch it a few times or really look at the details. If it just TRIES to be weird for the sake of weird and makes no sense no matter how hard they try to explain it, it's still garbage IMO.
One of my favorite movies like this was Stay with Ewan McGreggor and Naomie Watts. The answer is a lot more simpler than DD and you don't need to call a geek squad to figure it out. Just watch it again and it makes perfect sense the second time.

I'm trying to remember...Did I watch Pi? It's a black and white movie, right?
Scarecrow wrote:As for Pi, yes it was black and white. I really don't remember much aside from some genius trying to find a certain numeral pattern which holds the key to understanding everything in the universe. There was something about predicting the stock market and something hidden in Jewish religious text but I really don't remember it much. It just gets really weird at the end.
