Court rules email NOT coverd by wiretap laws!

Whoa... This is an interesting one. Apparently this guy was reading other people's email, and using that information to undersell his competitors. And the courts said it's NOT ILLEGAL!!! Yet another reason for PGP...

... NOT ILLEGAL!? >Oo<; It's illegal to look though people's mail.. But legal to look through e-mail?...

The privacy laws in question are most likely the wiretap laws. Since he was "storing" the email instead of reading it en route, and since it was delivered by a non-goverment entity, it wasn't covered by the US Postal laws. Huh. I still think that's going to get appealed. At least I *hope* it is...
