This is my shameless plug of a little tool that I've just finished making. It is designed to let you make forum/message board avatars/banners without leaving your browser, you can find existing images on Google automatically or upload your own pic, then crop, resize, add text, add borders from a selection and download the result in 3 different formats (JPEG/GIF/PNG).

Let me know what you think, oh and please tell your friends if you like it. :)

I just made my new avatar using this program. It worked very well, was easy to navigate, and I like the results. Thank you.

This is great, I love it. Thanks a lot. One thing I'd like to see is a way to rotate the image, but don't know if it would be possible. :)

It's possible but difficult. I might add it later if the site gets more traffic :)

Really like your site! I've already bookmarked it. Also having fun making some avatars.

Is it possible to add circle &/or round borders someday?

That is a pretty spiffy generator; very quick and easy too. I do like the fact that you can search for, crop, and resize your image all in one place. And the boarders and text make it look clean cut.

Well, it's slick and convenient, so I'll say thumbs up. I can suggest two fillips, though - first, the ability to retrieve a source image by url, instead of limiting it to Googe image search results or local files, and the second would be the capability to flip images - most relevantly, horizontally.

Other than that, it's pretty convenient for quickly converting an image into an avatar-ready format.

Thanks for the feedback - both of those things are relatively easy to add, so I'll probably put them in once the site gets popular :)

This is really easy to do and I'll probably put it in at some point, although they won't be antialiased round corners as that would require rewriting a bunch of code :P

This is awesome! I lurves it so much! XD The only problem I'm having is when I try to give my sig an ' it turns into a \' , and I know that's not right! And there's no way to get rid of the thing w/ out getting rid of the apostrophe :(

Thanks for the comments. Atria35, I'm guessing the "\'" business is probably something to do with your signature getting escaped/sanitised a bit wrong - not sure why though.

PHP loves to do this. When you read the result of the post, try converting \' to the appropriate &#xxx; format. I think it's 039 you'll want for the ascii apostrophe.

This is a definite no brainer and very easy to add. Once the traffic to the site has reached a certain point (soon) I will add this feature in. :)

I love this. I just made an avatar with it, though it may be a while before I start using it. I really like the result and will be using this again sometime.
